Coming out from the cover of the trees, Annabeth's gray eyes were wide. At first, she thought it was just the solitude messing with her head. However, she saw him running (perfectly dry, of course) and couldn't fight her smile. "Percy!" she called, running towards him and almost tripping in the sand in the process.

Percy found a sudden burst of speed when he saw her. "Annabeth!" He called again, nearly colliding with her as they met, picking her up and spinning her around, arms wrapped tightly around her middle.

Annabeth couldn't fight her smile back (as much as she wanted to whack him for being an idiot), the blond demigod just enjoying the hug as she was spun around. More than anything, she was just glad he was all right.

Percy set her down, grinning from ear to ear. "Gods, it's good to see you," he said, taking one of her hands and squeezing it lightly. "This place is insane, but now that you're here..."

"Shut up for two seconds, Seaweed Brain," chided Annabeth lightly before she kissed him full on the lips. She was relieved; immensely so. That explained why her fingers laced into Percy's.

Percy kissed her back, tightening his hold on her hand, also relieved that he'd found her. The last two weeks had been quite an adventure, and he still didn't know where they were exactly or how to get home, but with Annabeth here all his worries melted away for the moment. He didn't want the kiss to end.

Unfortunately, it had to, as all things must. However, it was a good few long moments before Annabeth pulled away, her smile turning into a smirk. "So," she said evenly, looking to the ship with a raised brow, "Calypso?"

Percy turned to look at the ship too. He had the decency to flush lightly as he turned back to her. "...I don't supposed you'd believe that the ship already had that name when I raised her up, would you?"

Annabeth looked back to Percy, raising an eyebrow and clearly giving him a look that said, "Do you really expect me to believe that?"

Percy smiled sheepishly. "It seemed like a good name. She's a Nereid, after all."

Annabeth still gave him a bit of a look, but seemed to drop the topic. For now.

"So, how many monsters did you have to kill to buy this, anyway?" Annabeth started to walk towards it, hand still in Percy's. It was quite an impressive ship.

Percy's smile spread back into a grin. "I didn't buy it," he said, squeezing her hand. "Raised her from the ocean floor."

Annabeth's eyes widened. "It couldn't have been in this good a condition," she insists.

Percy nodded. "Yeah, she wasn't," he said. "This guy, Kaku, helped me fix her. Even carved me a figurehead. He's on board, you'll meet him."

"I see," she said with a nod. Just then, her stomach growled. Annabeth didn't blush; she just glared at Percy, daring him to tease her for it.

Percy stifled a laugh. "Couldn't find any food on the island, Wise Girl?"
