How dare I? Your mother was well aware of the consequences of turning against me. It was her greed and stupidity that pressed her onward to go through with it. I would suggest you take it up with her, but since she is dead, that would be quite difficult on your part.

What compels you to believe I would actually want to remember crossing paths with you? Recalling the instance would mean I would have to visually project your face, and I feel no need to torment my mind with such images.

But if you must know, ask a little nicer than that, and maybe I'll consider it. The odds aren't entirely against you.
