I like that thing. It's cool. All right, I need to update to make a few things clear.
First of all, I did not get into GMU. You need to have a minumum GPA of 2.4, and mine was a 2.35. Close, but no cigar. So, I'm taking classes at NOVA this semester, while working full time, to bring up my GPA. Hopefully I'll be able to get in next semester. The current plan, I think, is to try and get an off campus apartment near GMU next fall, with me, Toscano and Kelleher. That'd be real nice. We'll see how that goes. And where am I working, you may ask? I'm still at KB toys, acting as an Asst. Manager, the very bottom rung of the management ladder, but that's how it goes. I'm not planning on staying there tho, as I am sick of children, feel that I'm being taken advantage of, and completely dread the Christmas season there. So, I'm currently in the market for a new job. We'll see how that goes.
Secondly, my sister got married. She and her now-husband have been dating for about 10 months, and are happy and very much in love. Here's the catch. He's an illegal immigrant from Ghana, and was very close to being deported. So that's why the marriage happened so fast. Like within two weeks. Needless to say, my parents aren't thrilled, but there coping as best as can be expected. So, I'm some sort of brother-in-law, which is a weird feeling.
Thirdly, my cat Misty passed away a few weeks ago. Most of you will know that she had a cancerous tumor on her head that was benign, but growing. The problem was that while we were on vacation, she managed to open it up, and it got infected. She was found by our weekly maid service who unfortunately had no way of getting in touch with us, nor the people looking after her while we were gone. So when the neighbors found her, they immediately took her to the vet, and she was put under until we were able to get in touch with them. At this point, we were still in Texas, but the vet informed us that she was suffering, and not even conscious, so we made the difficult decision to put herr to sleep. We've buried her in the back yard, in one of her favorite spots, and have ordered a various nice monument to put on it. Not a tombstone proclaiming it's a grave, just a very simple cat monument, so that we'll always remember her. She was an exemplary cat, and will be much missed.
Finally, I love my girlfriend. A whole lot. 'Nuf said.
