So I was pouring honey into my tea at work today and I was thinking about how much I enjoy honey and it made me wonder, how come American candy companies don't incorporate honey into their products?
In thinking of all the possibly candy options you can get at a drugstore, I can't think of one that involves honey, aside for 'bit-o-honey', which I'm pretty sure contains no honey and sucks. Am I missing something? I've had imported candy with honey in it for sure.
In American candy you tend to find caramel, nougat, peanut butter, toffee, fudge, but no honey. Maybe it's because corn syrup is so much cheaper than honey? I would be totally down with a candy bar that had honey in it.
