Single-Serving Friends

I met a cool guy today on the train from Wymondham back to London. He's an independent filmmaker/music professor of some sort. He was traveling with a student of his from Germany, and I ended up going to a gig with them at a cleared out shop in Highgate. Some friends of theirs did some amazing things with organs, Erik Satie, loop stations and random sounds. We had a nice chat about Wittgenstein and anagrams and music and photography and the French novel ''La Disparition'' which contains no instance of the letter 'e'. It's rare to find someone twenty years my senior who will talk on equal terms about things of mutual interest and therefore pretty cool.
