His first violin concerto is incredible, especially the cadenza. I found a video of Hilary Hahn playing it on youtube and i almost fell out of my chair. That girl has some skills. I was supposed to see her play Dvorak two weeks ago or so, but i was tied up with senate stuff.
Voice lessons with jane are going very well. she makes me work on technique so i can feel comfortable when i use my upper or lower voice. She wants me to develop my bass so she moved me to their section. This means i wont be able to sit next to Gerardypants or Sammy for the time being. SADSADSADSADSADSADSAD. I dont even know any of the bass music, i want to be a tenor again....their material is so much more exciting than the basses. BAH!
Im auditioning for Godspell with We Beseech Thee. I need to begin practicing that piece.
Classes are great so far. My Philosophy of Literature class is hands down, the most boring Assumption College experience of my whole life. That includes even the longest library shift on the weekends. At least we're reading cool stuff like the Iliad. Im really really liking that so far.
Peter came back last week to lead our string group. It was good so see him again, but all of a sudden there is a lot of pressure on us to perform really well. Im not sure how i feel about it all. I have 34765 other things to work on this semester, why does string group have to be another one of them. MEH.
This weekend i went to marshfield with karyn an colleen. It was awesome, go see the pictures on facebook.
Last night was a lazy lazy homework night for me. I could have reread my human nature hw, i could have reviewed some greek, and i could have tried to read Hobbes' Leviathan for Early Modern, or i could have read Oedipus Rex for theatre. I ended up doing none of them last night. The human mature hw is too boring to go over again, ill be fine in greek, and the Leviathan was absolutly impossible to make sense of, even having looked at secondary sources. Ill wait for Bauer to make sense of it for me..it looks good though. And i read Oedipus on Pinkmonkey this morning.
Wow i dont have to work tonight, and i dont have classes tomorrow. What will i do with myself. Heres an idea. Gym, Shower, Food, Errands, Homework, Nap, Homework, Nap, Food, Voice/ Violin Practice, String Group, Chapel Choir (Bass section), Mystery.
