Worky Bits…
All right, for those in the know, I was not very pleased at my old place of work.
The nearly hour long drive, soul sucking hours, being indented with hillbilly macho bullshit, being delegated to menial grunt work just because of the ineptitude of others… that and having a ton of plate steel dropped onto you tends to do that.
Any who, the contract was up, and I was on a temporary layoff till April, so I looked it as a good thing. A bit of time off to relax, and the ability to look for a better place of employment.
Well, a few couple weeks later I nabbed a new job.
Thus far it seems to be vastly superior… decent easy to get along with coworkers, no bullshit grunt work, , ass-kicking benefits, and all of this just 5 minutes away.
To top it off, my old place was though understanding, unhappy to see me leave, and they stated that if at any point if I want to go back that they would love to have me there.
Sweet.
