Ever since the visit to Italy to see little Mikhail, Longshot has been bothered by something. He didn't understand, and he didn't know how to broach the subject with his wife on the touchy subject. They both had been avoiding talking about it for a long time. The Mojoworlder had a feeling that Alison was avoiding the topic because she didn't want to make him mad. He was avoiding it because it hurt. Though now it was mostly confusion and concern.
Tasha had mentioned having a broken family when he had first visited after the great icky event. He wondered if that's what he had at the moment. Because he couldn't have all his family together without making the person most important to him uncomfortable. Unless it was a super momentous happy day like the civil ceremony. There wasn't enough of those days to go around.
So, to figure all this out without the danger of waking a sleeping baby, Longshot decided to skip going to camp for the day. He did go out riding, however. He wanted to get his head clear so he knew exactly what his questions were. Coming back around lunch time seemed natural to him because he was hungry.
He put Rivenstar back into the stables and made his way inside the castle. He was distracted enough to not announce his return in Japanese like he normally did. He kicked his shoes off and headed straight for the kitchen. He blinked once he got to the doorway. Well, finding Alison to go talk to her would be easy.
He knocked lightly on the door frame. "Buttercup, I'm home."
