Ross! The muffin! The tears! The oggling of Dean's naked body! (And really, even without the unhealthy codependence, who could resist that?) This was a great chapter for Ross, even though it was Sammy's birthday. So much tasty character development. And though he is a total punk, you give us so much insight into his heart and mind that I like him, and really like to spend time with him.

And look at Sammy, all maturing and having mature realizations about himself and his relationship with Ross, and Dean. Happy Birthday, Sam.

Another wonderful installment - very tight, very engaging.

Haha, yeah. Poor kid's so screwed up, but, yeah, I do kinda love him. I'm relieved that you say you like spending time with him as my original draft has twice as much Ross POV than Sam and Dean POV, mainly because I wanted to get an outsider/insider perspective on Sam/Dean, but Ross just seemed to take over and give his own opinion on everything, along with his own bucketload of issues, so this seems to be what I'm posting...

And, yay, Sammy's birthday! They never acknowledge either of the boys' birthdays on the show, so this is how I like to imagine they celebrate: cake and booze and pot and buttsex! Haha... well, that's how I like to imagine it ;D

I so love reading about Ross' memories of his father, I believe that this affectionate man who was so proud of his boys (awwww!) was the real John Winchester, the one we barely got to see in canon (and that's probably the only thing I'll never forgive Kripke for, killing Papa Winchester so soon. :/)

I have to say I was a little surprised when Sam and Dean had sex with Ross just lying there (I can see them doing it while drunk and horny but actually planning about it? Not so much) but I'm more upset that you didn't give us all the details; I mean, it was Sammy's first time topping. :P You better make it up to us soon, that's all I'm saying. :D

Yes, John is such a fascinating character, I really believe he was both an affectionate and proud father, though I do think he was generally pretty shitty towards Sam and Dean, nothing excuses leaving them on their own for days when they're 10 and 6. I don't know, though, I go back and forwards on John most of the time, because I really, really like him as a character. I also genuinely love the idea here of him being really affectionate and close to Ross, his third son, (like he seemed to be with Adam on the show), I think partly this is because Ross doesn't have the Mary connection like Sam and Dean which carries so much guilt for him ( ... )

Poor Ross, him feeling like the third wheel all the time. Poor kid! & than having the feelings for Dean....But I LOVED of what Dean did for Sammy though, :) moments between them are so brief but so romantic in there own way lol. But awesome update hun! I seriously love this fic. Can't wait for more. :)
