We here in the West watch in horror as the brief flowing of the Virtues of the Age of Enlightenment comes to an end in your country. We know we are not perfect. In fact Putin's regime is a cautionary tale on how you can have the forms of Democracy but not the spirit.
Know this, we are not your enemy despite what political demagogues might say.
All people have the right to peaceful self determination and open discourse without the use of guns.
