Maybe we could set somewhere to meet up next time, it's really easy to miss people. What did you do/where did you go during the con?? Did you cosplay too?
I didn't cosplay this year either (the temperatures scare me >.<).
Did some shopping, watched some dubs, bummed around a lot (haha), walked around, eavesdropped and did some gaming. Kept losing track of when the panels I wanted to go to happened :/
I was worried that it'd be too hot but thankfully it wasn't bad.
I'm trying to get around to writing a AN report on what I did those three days. Nothing special really, I think I had as much fun as one could have by oneself orz
You should definitely cosplay next year, we can do one from a common series together if you're down with that.
It's roughly when our uni's anime club starts sending out 'Oh hey, keep in mind AN is coming up, might want to keep sign up dates in mind~'. But it could come a lot earlier if it gets into my mind 'Oh, it's almost AN, maybe I should start thinking about it :/'
98% buying. I've never made anything too complicated, but I'm sure I could figure it out--it's just I have a very bad record when it comes to finishing up my craft projects /sigh
Which uni do you go to? Do you go to the club regularly? I wish I attended mine when I was a student, but it ran late and I didn't like staying out until then. That's nice, you can get that group discount for registration.
Now I'm really curious about which cosplay you would consider doing.
University of Toronto Scarborough. Our club runs late too usually, and all my classes are early morning, so I tend to only go to their bigger events that run pretty much the entire day. But they open group sign ups to the entire school and friends, so it's good if you want to sign up with them too :)
I was considering a DOLLS cosplay a little while back and was really into it--but that's a long coat, so it spells heat stroke to me--same problem with DOGS' Noki and Maoh's Semi. And other than coats (I don't even know why I tend to like those costumes most), I considered the historic-like of Hetalia or the gothic Victorian of Kuroshitsuji. But everything just seems like it wouldn't work out for me one way or another :/
Though I've had my eye out on Gumi's green dress for a while. It and other Vocaloid costumes catch my eye and continue to generate the least heat stroke imagery for now orz
I love those kinds of costumes too, they're so cool but it's always the issue of being able to handle the heat with them. If only there were a fall and winter convention. I saw a group of girls cosplaying from DOLLS last year, I really wonder how exactly they can tolerate it with the hot weather. As well as other people with well-covered/layered costumes.
Gotta love Vocaloid's variety of costumes to choose from. Many are perfect for the May weather. I practically love all of them, I was thinking of doing one for next year.
lol Another flipflop here. I'm always changing my mind last minute, it's pretty frustrating.
