[Gintoki/Hijikata] aftermath of the dogfight
Set in Initial D verse, where Gintoki is a Road Racer and Hijikata his somewhat unwilling mechanic.
The Ibaraki Prefecture was a pretty decent place when one thought about it. The place was alright, their natto in Mito was more than decent and their watermelons and chestnuts in Chikusei and Nishiibaraki respectively were something worth paying for.
Of course, that was simply for the common folk - and it was something someone such as one Hijikata Toshirou could care less about, to be honest. In fact, he wasn't really here all the way from home due to choice - it was all thanks to a certain annoying silver-haired natural perm idiot driver that he was dragged out all the way here because said idiot wanted to race against some of the locals here in the mountain passes located at the north. Being his mechanic, Hijikata didn't have much of a choice in the matter and thus was promptly brought along for the trip.
Now it was about two in the morning and the mechanic was quite understandably getting a bit sick and tired of being used as an unofficial weight for his test drives. The dark-haired man glared daggers at the driver once he managed to clamber out of the car and catch his breath (which was hard, given how they were currently at the top of the mountain pass and the man swore he almost died with all that bumping around in the last round of races).
"The next time you decide to go all the way out here, you'll have to find another mechanic instead. I'm not going to do this a second time."
