Fluuuuuuuuuuff tiem get. Set in
theskytides, on a nice random night~It was no big surprise that recent events had left Hijikata quite busy. A quiet groan sounded his awakening as the man returned to conciousness, fingers twitching as he shifted to push himself up back into a sitting position while ignoring the numbness that was moving up his fingers and arms due to the position they had been in earlier. Another yawn once more, and the samurai responded tiredly. "Its not like I have a choice in the matter." As competent as the other boatswains were in their job (as he had come to admit by now), they (except Vimes, but he usually attended to other affairs of the job) were all still relatively new to their positions unlike him. So it was only natural that most of the tedious stuff fell into his hands.

Roy reached over to the table and, without even looking, snagged up a ballpen. He opened the cap with his mouth, and signed one of the documents in Hijikata's stead.
"Besides, I'm around. You can always pass some of this off to me."

"I doubt you know how many crew members the ship had to replace in the last four years." It was no joke about the Victoria II and its frighteningly huge turnover rate.

And with that, Roy looked up and smiled. Pure confidence, pure resolve. Like always.
