Dear evil ex-boyfriend,
You are evil. I hate you. And although I never loved you, you instilled such anxiety in me that I keep my guard up at all times, just in case I accidentally run into you. Too bad my guard wasn't up tonight. You didn't see me, but I saw you. My heart leapt to my throat and I started shaking. I was not ready. I fear I will never be ready.
