Hey!!

I'm back home!

Anyway, we had fun the last couple days in Rome. We did meet our roommates eventually (the ones that didn't come back one night). Apparently they went on a Pub Crawl and "woke up in an unknown place". They were 2 guys from Chile and one from the US. They were nice though.
They left the next day and we got new roommates- a slightly weird guy from Brazil and two really nice girls from the US.

The next day in the morning, we went to Vatican City and into the Vatican Museums. We queued for like an hour but the queue was CRAZY long! We saw the Sistine Chapel, amongst other things, but some of the chapels made by Raffael I found way more impressive than the Sistine Chapel. Oh well.
Then we went for lunch right next to the Vatican Museums and obviously it was very overpriced and not very good. Oh well...
We then went into the St. Peter's cathedral which was cool as it is the largest cathedral in the world and stuff... We had way more fun laughing at all the people who were denied entry because they were wearing super-short mini skirts or shorts and tank tops (they even had SIGNS at the beginning of the queue that said you weren't allowed to enter), so Jess, Sarah and I sat next to the queue, laughing at and mocking people who weren't allowed to go in. It was SO much fun.
When walking out, we saw this German girl who put toilet paper around her shoulders to make fake sleeves. It was the most hilarious thing EVER! I really wonder if she got in.

On our way back, we saw this dress in a boutique that we had seen a few days earlier and all liked, so we went in, Sarah tried it on first, loved it; then I tried it on and loved it, and finally, Jess tried it on and loved it too so now we all have the same dresses. We live in different countries though so that's fine :D

That night, we went to another restaurant that the Let's Go Guide recommended (we basically lived off the Let's Go recommendations in Rome) which was pretty good, then we walked to the Tiber and took pictures on a bridge and then went back to our hostel-area to get gelato, obviously.

The next morning, we checked out, brought our bags to the train station and then walked to the Pantheon which was really cool... It's creepy how a building like this could survive 2,000 years. Then we went SHOPPING! YAY! I bought lots of stuff at the Body Shop as they had such a good sale; then I bought Hannah Montana PJs for my sister at the Disney Store and I found these machines where you put 1 Euro in and then you get a mini-Winnie Pooh for your cell phone. I saw them in Canada before but we never had them so I got really excited and bought 7 of them, lol.

Then we had to go back to the train station, bought food and kept complaining about the night train because we were all dreading it (even though Sarah was maybe dreading it more than we were- or she was just complaining more :p ) but it ended up not being too bad. We shared our compartment with a really nice girl from Montreal which got Jess really excited, and this really posh English guy which got Sarah excited (as Jess wished for someone she could speak French to, and Sarah wished for someone from the UK) and this old lady from Romania who spoke a few bits of Italian and that was it, haha. Kinda difficult to communicate but oh well... Anyway, this time the air conditioning actually WORKED!! :o Surprise, surprise, and I could sleep for 8 hours, yay!

When coming home, I was surprised by the fact that my dad had bought a car in my absence that is now (at least half) mine. :o WHY DON'T PEOPLE EVER TELL ME THESE THINGS? lol. I haven't driven it yet, but it's a BMW. Used, but not half bad. :)

Anyway, I gotta go now! xoxoxo
