Firenze part 2

Hi everyone!

So, after my last entry that I posted while being on the verge of dying... okay, no, but allergic reactions are HIGHLY uncomfortable!! ... Day II in Florence.

So, in the morning we took the train to Pisa, walked through the shopping street there and went to see the Leaning Tower. Of course we took the classic Leaning Tower Pictures where you hold up the tower... Then we went for lunch on our way back to the train station. When we got back to Florence, we went into our room for about an hour because it was TOO FREAKING HOT. Seriously, you just can't sightsee when it's 35°C outside.
I had bought cake the previous day (when I got lost while looking for aftersun lotion) so while Sarah applied said lotion in the bathroom, I quietly went outside in the lobby and put candles in the cake etc.... The stupid lighter broke, though. Crappy 1 Euro thing! and it took me forever lightening the candles with another candle. Anyway, I walked in, we sang happy birthday, Sarah was mad that she was in underwear when she got the cake (lol) and then I gave her a present, and I think she liked it, hehe. It was an I love Tim Riggins shirt and a self-made Ed/Chuck calendar, haha.
Then we went out and bought alcohol to celebrate. lol.
We then got ready to go out and went for dinner at this restaurant near the Duomo. Then we found the ice cream place that (according to Let's Go Western Europe), you will remember in 50 years. I might. The ice cream was REALLY good.
We made our way through the city and walked up to the Piazzale Michelangelo, a place on a hill where you can overlook the whole city, and watched the sunset... Soooooo pretty!! We actually wanted to go there the day before but we didn't make it in time so we watched it from the Ponte Vecchio then.
Then we went back to our hostel room and took our drinks to the balcony, but due to an invasion of lizards, we had to move our small party to our room, where we played drinking games, including "the Jess game". Basically, Jess just invented what we had to do as the game went along. We also played "truth or truth" haha. It was quite the hilarious night, I would say.

Okay, here are some pictures from Florence.

Palazzo Vecchio, if I remember correctly

Florence...

Okay, that's it for today. We have to leave the super room in like 20 minutes which sucks. :(
