Quick update (My legs are covered with gasoline after all):

Fri.
Jon and Jennie disappears, one heading north and one heading east. M. springs for a 12 pack of Busch Light, which despite its name is neither bushy nor light. We walked to downtown Normal, taking turns lugging 144 ounces of beer in a soggy box, til we found our party. 80 degrees, 90% humidity, 40 minute walk. Hung out with M.'s friends, and got an invite to one of the frats on campus. Bayonetted seven soldiers. Had thoughts of cutting my hair but that quickly changed after I count 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 hands rooting through my hair. A girl even tells me I look like Lenny Kravitz. 'If you say so.' Hit on M.'s giggly friend from Moline, and we retired at 4 am to the tune of Domino's pizza.

Sat.
Not much happened. Woke up with the stupids, but managed to keep things coherent for the people around me. Played FF-X and had a few shots of Razz with M. and his girl. Started a mockup on a pair of tattoos, a friend's asking me to do some for her. -Om mani padme hum- Added Tibetian as a language to learn next year, and also borrowed Jon's copy of Siddhartha for reference.

Sun.
Spent four hours at the U Library, after watching a bunch of foam-armored guys beating the crap out of each other with swords, slings and arrows (of outrageous fortune?!) and three hotties sunbathing in the quad. M. and I hung out on the sixth floor, poring over design magazines. Left in a dizzy haze of colors. Jon shows up in biker gear, we inspect his bike and lament against the tragedy of the ass that would aspire, as soon as we buy our plane tickets and find him. More FF-X.

Today (as of 3:15pm)
Woke up. Five minutes later, I'm outside working on Jon's bike with him. The body shell's removed to disconnect the alarm and to inspect the insides. He slices the top of a tube to release the gas tank and accidentally turns the valve. It's turned off in time, but about a half-quart's soaked up by the concrete. After two hours of work it's decided to just stop and reassemble the gas tank, shell and seat. He's off to class and I'm writing this, thinking of my shower that I'll take and a cool glass of water too. And all the emails I have to answer.
