i quit food lion last week and started my new job at DBCC in the career counseling center. i spend a lot of time researching my own career so i can tell people how to do it themselves, which opened my eyes to the options available to me. from what i can tell i am going to have a tremendous amount of quiet time on my hands to read, write and draw funny sketches. im ready for a change. currently excelling at school, investing a lot of energy in a lot of different ways.
sometimes i wonder what if galileo decided to devote his life to feeding homeless people, dropped out of formalized education as to not "buy into the system," chained himself to a dumpster and spat on his friends for not joining him...how respectable he would have been, a saint for sure, but who would even know? he would have his satisfaction, becoming the change he wished to see in the world all right, but the universe would continue revolving around earth, the stars immovable, the planets perfect circles. sure, everyone could sew a garmet out of trash and renounce time and space, but what about all the scientists, doctors and whatnot? strikes me odd that the most vocal group speak of "diversity of methods" and then look down their nose at you if you arent walking the same path they are, chained to an anonymous dumpster, waiting for the rapture.
