Scratchy Records We Like
years ago, I read an interview with Springsteen about this album and he commented on how the records sounded like there was a party going on in the studio. Last weekend I picked up this album at Grooves for $1 -- after washing it, the LP plays well despite looking very scratchy...the cover is in great shape. But true to Bruce's comments, the record sound like it was created with the whole band and a bunch of their friends in a little room with a lot of partying going. It is fun! It sounds like it was made in a fishbowl. But that is part of its charm.
