I went ice skating for the first time in YEARS with a couple friends on Tuesday.. It was awesome!
So fun that the very next day I picked up my dusty old K2 SP Bobs out of storage and proceeded to skate around the city for 3 HOURS STRAIGHT... perhaps I got a little carried away, cause now I have painful shin splints and have to sit out of DDR tonight. ( u_u) Oh well, it was fun.. and now I have a new (reborn) free hobby.
..
I need to start traveling again. I used to bounce all over the globe as a child, but now days its rare that I even leave the city of Dallas.. I hate it here. I'd like to revisit all of the places I know I've been, but remember little of.. New York, London, Paris, Hawaii.. (there are a LOT of places on the list). And there's a whole other long list of places I'd like to visit for the first time.. Japan, India, Germany.. (quite a few places on this list too). Maybe someday I'll find a place I'd enjoy living.. ( n_n)
And yes, I'm perpetually broke.. but has that really stopped anyone from getting somewhere they wanted to go? Going places is always surprisingly cheap.. its the staying that becomes so costly. I've stayed with friends before, but I always feel like a burden.. Does anyone have, or know someone who has, any insight on cheap travel? Any tips, tricks, or wild off-the-wall ideas would be helpful.
Yay shin splints!
