I'm working too much these days. Yeah, I make a lot of money (a *lot*), but I'm just tired of having to go into work every single night. Lately I've been closing a lot too, so I'm not usually getting home until after midnight which means I always miss Letterman and Daily Show.

Feel sorry for me.

Do it!

Nah, don't bother.

I really don't care what the box office numbers say, Superman Returns was way better than Dead Man's Chest. Why is it that this summer all the sequels that exceeded expectations (Superman, Mission Impossible) got crushed by the mediocre/diappointing ones (Pirates, X-Men 3)? It's typical.

I'm absolutely crused that Universal is closing the Back to the Future ride. I really can't fathom why on earth they're opting to replace rather than just tweak it. If the rumors are true and they really are paving way for a Simpsons ride, then it would be the first time in my life I was not unconditionally supporting Homer. I mean, a Simpsons ride would probably be awesome (as long as it's half as funny as MuppetVision 3-D... which will also probably get the boot soon, knowing my luck.) but I would never want to discard such a classic to make way for it. There's plenty of room out there, they don't have to demolish the Deloreans. I need a day off before I move back to Tallahassee so I can go Back to the Future one more time.

As a final note, Heath Ledger as the Joker? It's strange, and completely unexpected, but I'm pretty sure that was the point. Ledger is an excellent actor so I'm sure he can pull it off. I don't think Christopher Nolan would have cast him is he couldn't. The Dark Knight - Summer 2008.
