You already know how much I love this. :D But I love that you took the time to work in a slow character arc for both Ten and Inara AND you even put in a plot behind it all. Your Inara is so tranquil and beautiful, just perfect in a situation like this. Ten is psychotic, but completely adorable, as usual. I think he always comes across as his most alien when we're seeing him from someone else's point of view and you did that so well in the first bit.

“Oo, bit of a Debbie Downer today, aren’t I? Not to worry!” The Doctor straightened up again.

Ha! It would be like him to prattle off a long list of how things could go terribly wrong before declaring he could fix all of it. Oh, Ten.

“I don’t….wait, you think that I’m….well I’ve never been more insulted in my lives, you know except that one time that Jack said he liked her bottom better than mine, but honestly, how was I to compete?”

LOL. I've been convinced ever since Fear Her that Ten is completely self-obsessed, so it makes sense to me that he'd stay bitter about that kind of incident for a while. Heh! (Though it should be noted - Tennant's rear-end is... yeah. *cough*)

This was just SO pretty. I'm so happy you gave both Ten AND Firefly a try. *smushes you*
