Hey, you know what's even funnier than that? When the person who says they're hurt clearly stated that they would be in New York the day of the Chapelle's Show viewing thereby making a phonecall unneccesary because the person who would otherwise be making such a call was already emotionally crushed by the New York girl's departure.
