soundtrack of your life
inspired by a post at thequestionclub, i was thinking about what it would be like to make a soundtrack for my life. i was thinking about it in two different ways (and now whenever i say the word way the way brothers pop into my mind, its quite pleasant actually). the first way i was thinking was one song for every year of my life, 21 tracks. a song that would best describe me at that age. the other way would be thinking of moments that shaped my life and having a song with it. obviously, the first one i think would be more...interesting? well, it would vary more. i dont have too many memories from early on, so iw ould be like, from middle school on maybe? ill think about doing that one over break sometime.
shit and now i thought of a third one. songs about people. man, i could get in trouble with that one though, because the reason for attaching them doesnt exist anymore. well, for some of them. i think for now, ill just do the one song per year one. the other two ill take a lot more thinking power. this is going to hard enough as it is.
MY LIFE IN 21 TRACKS
1. Winnie the Pooh (my first room was done in Pooh)
2. The Itsy Bitsy Spider (I sang the carp outta that one)
3. Part of Your World (the best song by disney. the best movie by disney. ever. end of story.)
4. Baby Beluga (jessie would have been , um, 1.5 yrs old here, and she listened to it nonstop)
5. A Dream Is Wish Your Heart Makes (second best disney movie, I liked how the birdies helped)
6. Under the Sea (it’s the best. it gets two mentions)
7. I Just Can’t Wait to Be King (JTT was simba. Need I say more?)
8. She Talks to Angels (black crowes tape in the truck. we wore it out)
9. Quit Playing Games (With My Heart) (bsb was the shit. Don’t you even LIE)
10. Wannabe (when the spice girls did a concert on PPV, I got my mom and dad to pay for it)
11. No Scrubs (I still don’t want no scrub)
12. MMMBop (I saw hanson in concert when I was 12, I had binoculars and everything)
13. Oops I Did It Again (because yes, at one time britney spears was not god awful)
14. Crush (all thoughout high school any guy I liked got associated with this song. sorry)
15. Your Body is a Wonderland (i clearly remember buying this at kmart when I was a teenager)
16. Addicted (this was tough. I spent the whole year with switchfoot, maroon5, and simple plan. this was another crush song unfortunately)
17. Boulevard of Broken Dreams (the first song I bought for my ipod I got for christmas senior year. I don’t know what id do without it)
18. Lonely No More (this got me back into matchbowtwenty surprisingly)
19. Chicago Is So Two Years Ago (i used this get away and it got me into so much. thank you fob)
20. Northern Downpour (Pretty.Odd. was the first cd in a while that I went out and bought the day it came out. the car ride back to campus was amazing.)
21. I’m Not Okay (because I discovered mcr with this song this year lol, but again, hard, bc folie a duex came out and im seeing fob in concert!!!)
Guys, you don’t know how hard that was. i might have to make another one just for the songs that got left out. because, having to choose one song for a whole year? that was rough when I knew like, 10 songs for a year. haha maybe ill do a cd per year? no, because then I would have anything for before I was, say, 13. Ah well. this is pretty definitive though. i went from disney, to bubblegum pop, to mainstream, to my bands now.
