Music Education

I couldn't get through the first page of my music education text book without crying. Its a feeling that is so overpowering and overwhelming, its assurance that this is what I was born to do and sooo stinkin' lucky to get to do. More assurance came this week as I began teaching 5th graders who are all the most wonderful children I've ever had the blessing to teach. Really really really... I am as happy in my feild of study more than ever in my life. If people weren't so judgemental, I'd skip with joy to class and sing about how sweet it is to do music ed. every day. If I never had to eat or raise children, I would teach for free only because it fills my days with such a deep satisfaction.

As if music and teaching weren't wonderful enough, my student, after only one lesson, wrote me a letter. He's only in 5th grade, but I swear that you will one day hear about this kid.

Hi Sally, its marc. I just waned to say hi and my progress is doing well!!!

From,

Marc (your violin student)

( -_- )>>>HI!!!
