Last night's Sanctuary (spoilers)
Okay, so the usual nitwits come out of the woodwork to comment, apparently.
Interspecies kissing is fine, they don't post all upset about violence, but
two women kissing each other isn't acceptable?! Sheesh. I sometimes wonder
why those folks even bother to watch scifi or fantasy shows in the first place.
Those shows have always broken barriers because those things become irrelevant in settings
like that. (first interracial kiss on tv, etc.) They deal with abnormals, for crying out loud.
If Magnus has lived as long as she has, to not at least experiment and/or be bi,
or for that matter, to learn to see people and appreciate them for who they are,
not WHAT would be paramount to sanity. And she clearly does not judge people
simply based on their outsides. One of the reasons I enjoy watching scifi
and fantasy shows, when they do that right. And I thought that the moment
in question was sweet.
