Hurricanes...
I think I may have posted this already, and maybe because I'm in New York and have never been "hit" by a full scale hurricane (well, not really in that last one), but I find them fascinating.
I remember driving down to Jones Beach with Dad to watch them come in over the Atlantic Ocean. You can feel the pressure change as it gets closer. The storm surge means you have to stay on the boardwalk because there is no beach left...
