Babbling...
So, yeah... I was summoned away before by a voice on my brand-name walkie-talkie/phone thingy. Phil needed the parts of the building code pertaining to the safety requirements for escalators and elevators, and needed me to bring them to him at the site NOW... As it turns out, they didn't need them. Ahhh, the life of an intern...
Anyway, hot and humid today. Icky, but at least I remembered to put on sunblock... The past few days have been overcast, so I didn't.
So, yeah... need to find my Pennsic bedding and pillows and stuff tonight. I seem to be missing two blankets. These are the perils of not cleaning my apartment as often as I should. Come to think of it, I think there's a dress in my closet that I want to bring, but forgot about last night... I'll have to see if it is still where I think it should be. I'm bringing many fewer items of clothing thisyear than I normally do. Maybe I'll buy some more when I get there.
I got the invitation email to the scotch tasting at Pennsic. It says I can bring a guest. I'm wondering if the guest will be Chris or, since he was there last year, and thereofre, I believe, gets his own invitation, I can actually invite Dad. I know he wants to go... I'll have to find out how that works.
I think I'm also going to stop buy the Avon store by me and see if they have things in stock or if I have to order it. They have a Skin-so-soft now that has an SPF of 30, instead of the normal 15. Dad said he wanted the stuff a while ago, but I've never been home early enough to ask before; the store is always closed by the time I get back to my apartment.
I need to henna my hair again. I got this new henna bar form Lush last time I was there, but I'm not sure what to make of it. I've usually used the powdered stuff which is much cheaper, but they mix stuff with the henna to make their bars that theoretically makes it even better for your hair... The only thing I don't understand is all of their literature calls henna a temporary hair dye, which is not what I've experienced in the past. I mean, sure it fades, but it stays there forever... So, I need to somehow break up the bar, they recommend grating it, but I don't know if I want to put henna on/in anything that's metal (like, say my grater) because it does have natural reactives in it... I think I'll do that next week, or maybe right before Pennsic... hmmmm....
