Well... It's been a while...
The FE exam is tomorrow. I'm not really sure how well prepared for it I am, but it's too late to stress over it now. I'm skimming sections of my review book to see what I remember and what I don't, so at least I'll go into it knowing what I don't know. IT seems to be the best way for me to deal with these tests; not to study so that I'll know everything, but to be aware of the things that I don't know so that I don't stress over them when I see the on the test.
That being said, I have actually been reading the Ethics section, since I haven't actually had a class in that. They will give us a copy of the Code of Ethics to use as a reference for answering the problems... and it seems like there are only three answers that one can come up with for any of thes problems:
1) It is ethical
2) It is unethical
3) It is not unethical
... and every time I see that last one, I want to put a "weeeeelllll..." in front of it. You know: "Weeeeelllll... It's not unethical..." I mean the definition is pretty clear cut: if it does not violate the rules set in the Code, then it is not unethical. That doesn't mean it's good practice, just not unethical.
Remember how I was so pleased to not be doing anything for the Drama Club this semester...?
I'm running a rehearsal today. Hell weekend begins today. There are two directors for the show. One works(?) on Fridays, so the other director usually rns rehearsals on Fridays. That director's Grandmother died and has a funeral this weekend. In New Hampshire. So, I was asked to run a rehearsal for a play that I hadn't even read through until last night. Theoretically, though, it should just be me sitting there and giving notes (don't turn you back to the audience, speak up, etc...) and running them through like, two or three runthroughs... There are only four actors, so it shouldn't be too bad.
Except for the part where one of the actress' Grandfather died this week. So she's going home to be with family and won't be there today.
Saturday, which is usually the first major tech rehearsal for each show, has been cancelled because the three possible directors, one actress, and the tech director (Actress' boyfriend) can't be there. I have the FE Exam, Director 1 has the FE exam, and Director 2, Actress and Tech Director will all be at their respective funerals. So, Sunday, everyone is going to be back and scramble to put together the tech for a show that opens next Friday...
Oh, and I'm going to a fraternity dnner with Chris after the test on Saturday...
