Friends, Romans, countrymen... lend me your ears! Oh, and a couple of bucks, too, please...

All that being said, it has been a long, long time since I've been on the livejournal site. Yes, I know what everyone is saying right now. "He writes that line every time he posts." Well, it's the truth dog-gone it and dad-blast it! *Raises fist in fit of dwarven anger* It's a long time between posts, my being so busy with... um... and there's always... well... and please don't forget about... uhhhhhhhh... Okay, so there isn't a good excuse. SO SUE ME!!! (Actually, don't take that to heart. Any of you own a grocery store that I can slip and fall in in the next week or so? Then I can sue you. You know, turn this whole thing on its head and all. Cause... yeah... I've been eating the dirt off of my shoes at the end of the day. And bits of gum sometimes, too. I know, 7 years in the digestive system blah, blah, blah. But if it smells like Big League Chew and tastes vaguely like Big League Chew, I'm going to eat it!!! I think I got off topic...)

Anyway, I'm getting ready to start a new semester here at Appalachian State University. For those of you who don't know, I am a big, fat dummy. (Yes, that's right, FAT FAT FAT!!!) A big, fat dummy for deciding that a Master's degree in Appalachian Studies was a good idea. What is Appalachian Studies, you ask? Well, I'm not going to tell you! Haha! *Sticks out tongue and shakes fanny in your general direction* No, seriously, I like my program here, but this amount of work has got to go, folks... Oh yeah, I'm teaching this semester as well. WELCOME TO GUIDO 101!!! I'LL BE YOUR PROFESSOR, BUT YOU MAY CALL ME MASTER!!! MWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!

Ok, ok, I should bust up some sleepage now, yo! (Translation: I will now enjoy the soft comfort of my bed for a nocturnal recharging of the mind, body, and spirit.)

Later, young and old alike... I look forward to speaking to you again soon!
