1. What did you do in 2011 that you'd never done before?
Gave birth (well, by c-section) to two babies.
2. Did you keep your new years' resolutions, and will you make more for next year?
Don't make em.
3. Did anyone close to you give birth?
Me, me, me!! Finally! On 11/11/11 I gave birth to Elliot Steven Candy & Morgan Jeanne Candy :)
4. Did anyone close to you die?
My grandmother on my dad's side, a month after my step-grandfather passed. They were 90 and 89 & lived long, happy lives.
5. What countries did you visit?
Canada for my grandmother's funeral. I'm also now officially a Canadian citizen!
6. What would you like to have in 2012 that you lacked in 2011?
That's a tough one now that I have everything I want. I'd like a new garage, but that won't happen in 2012...
7. What date from 2011 will remain etched upon your memory, and why?
11/11/11, perhaps the best date there is...and I had two babies on it!!!
8. What was your biggest achievement of the year?
Carrying twins to 35w6d and growing them nice and big...and bringing them safely into this world :)
9. What was your biggest failure?
This was not a year of failure, thankfully.
10. Did you suffer illness or injury?
Just being ridiculously uncomfortable for months carrying the twins, and then I had a brutal cold when I had to have my c-section. It was rather unpleasant.
11. What was the best thing you bought?
All the visits to the fertility specialist to get us our sweet babies!
12. Whose behaviour merited celebration?
Steven, as usual, for being an amazing husband and an even more amazing father.
13. Whose behaviour made you appalled and depressed?
My step-grandfather's family for not informing us about his funeral and also basically stealing all of my grandmother's belongings.
14. Where did most of your money go?
Medical bills and baby stuff.
15. What did you get really, really, really excited about?
Everything involving Morgan and Elliot.
16. What songs will always remind you of 2011?
The Mike Park kids album "Smile". It is stuck in my head nonstop...ugh :)
17. Compared to this time last year, are you happier or sadder?
infinitely happier
ii. thinner or fatter?
just a tiny bit fatter probably...with a pouch covered in stretchmarks for a belly...
iii. richer or poorer?
we'll see after all the hospital bills come in!
18. What do you wish you'd done more of?
Sewing! Should've started that hobby way earlier :)
19. What do you wish you'd done less of?
Being uncomfortable while pregnant...but I wouldn't trade it.
20. How will you be spending Christmas?
Up north in Grand Rapids, MN with all of Steven's family. Can't wait for the babies' first Christmas!

With Elliot and Morgan

Hmmm...

The Walking Dead, Dexter, Doctor Who...

Nah.

When You're Expecting Twins, Triplets or Quads by Barbara Luke--I credit this book for helping me grow some BIG twins!
27. What was your greatest musical discovery?
No idea...The Avett Brothers?

Babies.

I dunno.
30. What was your favourite film of this year?
True Grit
31. What did you do on your birthday, and how old were you?
I turned 31. I also found out the genders of the babies and then went to a Twins game. Pretty cool.
32. What one thing would have made your year immeasurably more satisfying?
Nothing!
33. How would you describe your personal fashion concept in 2011?
Pajamas and maternity clothes. Awesome.
34. What kept you sane?
Thinking about November/December and the arrival of the twins.
35. Which celebrity/public figure did you fancy the most?
*shrug* the same as usual
36. What political issue stirred you the most?
Michele Bachmann and Rick Perry being stupid...a lot.

All of my friends far away...
38. Who was the best new person you met?
Elliot and Morgan.
