What is the purpose of man, if not to be used by God? And what greater purpose, than to write the words He has dictated? God did write one part of the Bible with His own hand, and that was the law in Exodus. Moses went up to the mountain and saw His hand writing it on the stone, and then delivered it to the people. So you could just go by that part alone if you want; but you'd miss out on all the stuff about Jesus and grace.

You're right about the evidence of God in creation. But it should drive you to learn more about Him from His word.

From Romans 1: 20For since the creation of the world God's invisible qualities-his eternal power and divine nature-have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that men are without excuse. 21For although they knew God, they neither glorified him as God nor gave thanks to him, but their thinking became futile and their foolish hearts were darkened. 22Although they claimed to be wise, they became fools 23and exchanged the glory of the immortal God for images made to look like mortal man and birds and animals and reptiles.

*i'm sorry but i'm not used by God or anyone else. i am a vessel of DNA who's only purpose is to reproduce and make more of me.

Really- if you lived 2,000 years ago how would you explain lightening storms, plagues of locusts, and floods? There was no NOAA or Weather Channel to rely on... of course you'd attribute it to God/Gods...

Hey, did you ever listen to that radio show link I sent you??? If not, you are missing out. I hope you find some time to give it a go. If you lost the link look back a few weeks, I posted it on a comment I left for you.
