The way a crow
Shook down on me
The dust of snow
From a hemlock tree
Has given my heart
A change of mood
And saved some part
Of a day I had rued.
- Robert Frost
I rather like this poem. It is so short, so brief, but it shows what the small thing of a crow shaking snow down on one who was passing by can do for a heart that is restless or weary.
I guess it's the idea of something small like that making a difference that gets my attention. How often, over and over again, have I found this to be true in my case.... It might not have been a crow and snow, but it made a difference.
