Huh. I'm impressed.
As most of my friends know, I'm not really much of a Taylor Swift fan and listening to her newest CD was definitely not on my to-do list. But my sister asked me to give it a chance, so I did and I found that I actually quite enjoyed the majority of it!
'Long Live' makes me think of Merlin and Arthur SO BAD it makes me smile so hard it hurts every time I listen to it. That is totally a THEM song, as well as 'Spark's Fly'. Those are going to be Merlin/Arthur songs to me until the day I DIE! End of.
I also enjoy 'Haunted'. It's different then her usual stuff, and I really like it. I find myself singing that one the most in the last few days. 'Mine ' is adorable, and I love it. I just have to avoid the radio so it doesn't kill it for me! 'Enchanted' is soothing. I love listening to it. And 'Back to December', which is obviously about Taylor Lautner(as it should be!), is beautiful and I adore it as well.
The rest of the CD was alright, I could do without it. I didn't much care for 'Speak Now' which is the title song, but meh. I'm sure others do.
Anyway, I am just really pleasantly surprised. Maybe I should re-think my liking of her now that she seems to be growing up a little more and broadening her musical style a little bit. *nods*
