It's already mother's day... I wish I could pay my respects to mom. It looks like I've been in the City for nearly 3 weeks. I've never been away from home this long, and even though I know time doesn't pass back home, I still miss Miki, Mana, Kanade-nee, Koto, Dad... and maybe even Kakeru. Wait, WHAT?!

You'll get back home to your family soon enough. To my knowledge no one stays here forever, even if it may not seem that that's the case.

It can be something like a nightmare, can't it? Try not to fret about it.

...ahaha, with all the hair and a monster coming from the sea out to destroy buildings... At least it's not boring I guess?

Are you back at the apartment now, Carl-san?

To her credit, the monster had a very valid reason for being unhappy. That doesn't make her actions right, of course, but at least it wasn't an entirely malevolent action. You're right, though--boredom isn't something we need to worry about.

I am, yes! As it is, sleeping in the laboratory is decidedly uncomfortable. ...Do you need something? I realize Mother's Day can be difficult if you don't have yours at hand.

I know my mom would be the same if she couldn't find me. I'm glad she found her son in the end, all the same.

Oh, it's perfectly fine... My mom passed away when I was young, so I'm used to doing things on my own. Koto and Kanade-nee help me out at times, but I can manage...

Thank you for the offer though~ That's very nice of you.

I should hope that your mother wouldn't be quite as destructive.

Ah. As valuable as self-sufficiency is, no one should lose parents when they're young.

You're welcome, of course!

Haha~ I don't think she would be, but mothers are capable of doing the most extraordinary things.

I still have my dad. He works a lot to support me and my two sisters, so he's rarely home... but we all love him for that.

So I've heard, yes.

He must be a hard-working man--lucky enough, though, to have three daughters!

Yeah, I know we drive him crazy with us being all girls... But we love him very much.
