Three days til

Today, I was gearing up for the slaughter that will ensue in three days at a college with the initials USC. No I'm not talking about Southern Cal but South Carolina. Yes, believe it or not there seems to be a 1-A school in South Carolina besides Clemson. The existence of such an institution is very easily understood when it is explained that everyone who does not get into Clemson is loaded on a bus and off they go to that center for metropolitan fortitude, Columbia, SC. Well, as I was preparing myself for the game this weekend I came across some quotes/facts that I thought beneficial to share.

Chris Rix(FSU QB) after 2001 Bowden Bowl: "Florida was loud in the Swamp. But, the loudest, not only the stadium, but the lousest place I, have ever been around in my life was Death Valley. I was yelling at the top of my lungs and I couldn't even hear what I was saying. The place was unreal how lound it was. I don't I will ever be in a louder place than Clemson."

Virginia Tech Fan that attended a game at William-Brice Stadium(South Carolina): "Tailgating with no trees anywhere on a dirt and gravel lot is pretty miserable at best. The fans were loud at the very beginning and then were very quiet for most of the game. Poor atmosphere."

Random Person: "How can a stadium that looks like a dead cockroach even be listed in the top 100 college stadiums? Not to mention, it's backdrop is a huge waste-yard and unkept fairgrounds. This is also the perfect place to find any type of illegal drug you could ever want."

In the 2005 Miami(fl)-Clemson game at Death Valley the noise reached 124 decibels and registered as a small earthquake in the architecture building
Larry Coker(Miami coach) after game: "The Swamp was loud, Clemson is deafening."

Steve Spurrier: "They clobbered FSU last week."

So it is obvious from these first hand testimonies that South Carolina is nothing more than a joke.
