So much blogging to do, so little time
Getting ready to go BACK TO WORK!!!! Glory hallelujah, it's about frickin' time. Don't get me wrong, I loved staying home with Raegan, and then having the summer with Rae and Molly. But it's time to get my career off hold and back to what I KNOW I'm a success at.
So here's the Cliff Notes version of the past two weeks ...
Molly and Rae: both growing like weeds ... Molly's all set to start 5th grade in two days, and Rae just got her first tooth!
School: Classroom's almost done, seating charts and everything I need for the first cycle are pretty much done. The only thing I still need to do is the nametags for K and 1, and I have the lists and supplies for them in a bag next to my chair. That's tomorrow's project
Band Camp: I have the best guard in the world. They may be small, but they're good kids. Hard working, and TALENTED!!! Had our first game yesterday and although they stumbled a bit on the first routine, the second one was great. We're blaming the sudden gust of wind that literally started blowing the minute they walked onto the field. Figures ...
Jeanne: Still very hard to talk about, sometimes impossible. Wake was last weekend, and although it wasn't what I thought it would be like, I'm sure it's what she had in mind. Going back to her and Bill's house afterwards with everyone, ordering pizza, and telling stories about her was what it was really all about. THAT was enjoyable, and a tribute to her memory.
House: Disaster, as always. Tried to start painting the bathroom, but am so discouraged by some well meaning criticism I haven't done anything else with it yet. I can see the finished room in my mind, but it's just not turning out the way I wanted it to. It's demoralizing.
That's it in a nutshell. Now that BC is over I'm hoping I can blog more, and maybe fill in some of the gaps above.
