OOC: Character Development

My own Nobody may be the most interesting character that I have ever played, because she is me, yet so unlike me.

We share the same dreams, of course, and even the same feelings, though they are only memories in her case. Now that I actually think about it, I can easily see that that was the reason she never settled on one world. Now that she can safely use Dark Portals, she hasn't spent so much as a week on any single world. Even before that, though, she always moved from place to place. I was conscious of it then, but only now that it's become an important factor do I mention it. That is, the fact that I/she never fit in on any one world. They're great to visit, but not one of them is the right home for me.
Now that it has become important, I'm glad it showed back then.

The growing difference between us is caused by Songbird's personality, which has been developing in ways I did not expect. Without a heart, she cannot truly care for anyone. However, she still has my sense of curiosity, and the wish for perfect honesty that comes with it. It may be her greatest remaining virtue. She wants everyone she talks with to be completely honest, and in turn she tries to be as honest as she can afford to be.
Obviously, she's withheld information on occasion, but she has never told an actual lie. This also means that, unlike most Nobodies, she almost never bothers to put on emotional displays, because it is dishonest. When she does, she goes so far as to explain why she is doing so, or at least give a disclaimer about how she really doesn't feel the emotion, but it was needed to express her message properly to those who do feel.

More recently, I've noticed something else about her character. I think it may be a kind of replacement for the fake emotions most Nobodies display. That is, her apparent obsession with 'responsibility'.
The way I describe it is that she adopts people.

If for some reason she considers herself responsible for a person's current situation and/or agrees with their cause and directly involves herself, she becomes quite protective over that person.
The current list of her 'adopted' people includes...
Ryuu (closest thing to a real friend.)
Roxas (she encouraged him to find his own way, plus he reminds her of my little brother.)
Axel (he left the Organization because of her. However, she isn't quite as protective over him because she thinks he can take care of himself.)
...And, ironically, Xemnas, now that she's learned what his ultimate objective is. ( Read the stunning revelation here! XD)

She doesn't count Mabry because they're really too distant. Also, she's almost certain that Mabes will hate her for something she plans to do later.

The most 'emotion' has been expressed when she talked to Xemnas in person, but on the community itself, she showed more than usual when Riku's arrival threatened Roxas. She has never been so blunt except when attempting to joke about something (yes, she does still have a sense of humor. It just manifests at random times and in very random ways).
In this case, though, she was as close to aggressive as I think she has the ability to get.

Songbird: What do you want with Roxas?
Riku: Clearly, that's none of your business.
Songbird: You clearly don't know who I am.
Roxas is one of my responsibilities. Consider my question repeated.

So, in conclusion, Songbird is breaking farther away from me and becoming her own person, and I'm really enjoying the experience of playing her.
