Yay! my cushions are finally sellling ^_^ I finally got permission to post about them on a forum I'm on, on I think Wednesday, and I've already got orders for 5 o_O Only problem is that my pot pourri just doesn't want to take on the scent so that at the moment, my cinnamon smells like cloves and nutmeg, my vanilla smells like buttercream (which is

Also stalking you from food_porn. ;) I thought I'd move over here, because it's gotten a little crazy over there. I suppose anytime you bring up changes in eating habits, people are going to get a little weird.
Anyhoo!
Here's some information on trans fats. Since you'll be avoiding most carbs, you'll probably be avoiding a lot of these too, because they pop up primarily in fried foods and processed foods, like packaged cookies, etc. The other big thing to watch out for is vegetable oil, which I know a lot of people use, especially for cooking. Olive oil is a better alternative, and really good if you're still wanting that Lemon Pepper Chicken. :) I usually just cut the chicken up small, throw a little oil in the pan, sautee with spices and you're good to go!
Here's the links I meant to give you, before I starting chattering:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Trans_fat
http://www.fda.gov/FDAC/features/2003/503_fats.html
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Olive_oil
If you read the full article on Trans Fat from Wikipedia (the fist link), you'll find that a few of the major cities in the states have started banning trans fats from restaurants. That's really been the thing to trans fats to everyone's attention, including mine.
GOOD LUCK! I'll probably still LJ stalk you and drop by every now and then. :)

Thanks for the links and advice, there's some really useful info there. I showed my mum your reply and, goodness knows why, but somehow in the last couple of weeks she's become and olive oil and lemon pepper fiend. Hmmmmm, I wonder why *heehee*!
As I mentioned to the person above, contrary to the reports everyone over on food_porn was giving, I feel better than ever now I'm used to this diet (which for someone with M.E. and IBS is a biiiig thing), and it seems to be sorting out some of my food problems as things I couldn't eat before, I'm suddenly able to eat again, I even managed 1/4 glass of milk the other day!!! O_O (to put that into perspective, around the time I developed M.E., and at the same time, IBS, I also suddenly became unable to drink milk AT ALL, it gave me a severe reaction)
So yeah, that's my ramble over with for now, before I get too hyper lol, but as I say, feel free to say hi whenever ya want, I love to chat :D
