[Accidental Radio Transmission]

Jan 13, 2011 02:19

[The radio feed doesn't pick up the sound of footsteps in the distance, but it does pick up the gasp of a girl close to it] Ms. Bellflower, did you hear something?

[A pause, and then] Hm? I don't think so...

Really? I could have sworn... [A beat passes as the reciever picks up footsteps again moving at a quick pace away from the radio]

Fayth-san, wait!

But... someone might need our help! [And the footsteps are moving away for the second time]

[Bellflower's voice is raised, and a little stern.] We do not have the skills for it! Leave the birds to the people trained to handle them.

...I think they're chocobos. [There's a short pause and a frustrated sigh] And I know I should, but if we could just... [And without finishing that sentence she's off again, this time with much more purpose]

[The sound of Fayth's running is cut abruptly short as Bellflower grabs the bit nearest to her - the long, ropelike ponytail currently flipping in the air - and tugs] Fayth-san! Lezard-san does not like lateness - leave the... chocobos to the handlers.

[Needless to say, there's an expected 'squeak' as her hair is pulled. If only a radio could record the look of surprise on her face until she composes herself.] But Ms. Bellflower, what of the people who could get hurt because of the chocobos running free? Our job is to help, is it not?

[sigh - and then Bellflower sounds a little less stern] We cannot help them if we get trampled underfoot ourselves, ne?

...I suppose you're right. [There's a slight hesitation] Ms. Bellflower...?

Yes, Fayth-san?

I promise I won't run. So it's okay if you let go of my hair now.

[Another very small sigh] Of course.
