Mac is here!
I am happy to say our son is FINALLY here. After a long (41 w, 2 d) pregnancy and 20 hours of labor, Malcolm ("Mac") entered the world on July 10th via C-section. He is our world and our joy.
The stats are as follows (and they are completely true!):
Time of birth 4:56 a.m.
Length: 21 1/2 in.
Weight: 11 lb, 1 oz.
Head circumference: 15 1/2 in.
Hair: strawberry blonde
Eyes: baby blue
I think God was trying to tell me something when my labor did not progress! Thank the Lord for the Clarian doctors and nurses (and especially the anesthesiologist!) who delivered our baby boy. I have had a quick recovery and am eager to be active again.
We are all home, doing fine and enjoying our time as a family. I am very much looking forward to staying home with Mac and watching him grow and change. Time will pass much too quickly. :)
