Summary:
More than five thousand years ago there was a war between two groups of vampires, the daylight vampires and the midnight vampires. Both the vampires were living in a separate world, another side universe and… They were fighting for slaves and blood! The midnight vampires were dark, evil and… They were keeping their humans as slaves! But on the other hand there were the daylight vampires, those vampires weren’t able to walk outside during the daylight so the name could be a little confusing, but they were called the daylight vampires because they were good, friendly and they were nothing like their dark brothers! But when the midnight vampires were trying to kill them and to steal their humans, they decided to fight back! And… They won the war! The midnight vampires were pushed back to their own world and the barrier what was keeping them apart became closed and hidden… And for more than five thousand years everybody had forgotten about the midnight vampires, until… Somebody accidentally found the barrier!

“Jung YunHo, where are you going?” Looking behind him he saw his brother, Park YooChun and… His brother didn’t looked happy at him. “Why are you always sneaking around? I can’t search for you when you are getting lost!” Looking irritated at his older brother YunHo sighed and nodded. He knew that he needed to listen to his brother because YooChun was going to be the new king in a few weeks… And because he was the youngest, he was just… a prince and he needed to listen to his older brother! But… Normally he didn’t minded it, he was happy to not be the next king because he knew that he wasn’t going to be good at it! He didn’t liked it to tell others what to do and… simply to rule! But his brother on the other hand didn’t seemed to have problems with it! But now he just wanted to disobey his brother, why he didn’t knew but… He had the feeling that he needed to search for something, or somebody! He didn’t understood why, but the urge to look in the forest was so strong! He almost became obsessed with it! “Come with me YunHo, we don’t have enough time to stay here too long, we need to pass through this forest as soon as we can because it’s not safe here.” YooChun looked strange but… Why wasn’t it safe here? Did his brother knew something he didn’t?
“Why isn’t it…” - “Not now YunHo, we can talk about it when we have left this place, it’s forbidden to be here and we only have permission to enter this forest because father is trusting me and because I know the reason why it’s so dangerous here” YooChun stopped with speaking and grabbed him by his arm to pull him back toward the encampment. “Stay here and DON’T go in the forest again!” YooChun looked warningly at him and even raised his eyebrow! And… Normally he never looked at him like that, so he must be serious… “Okay…” Sighed YunHo and looked annoyed when he walked away, he felt irritated because he had no idea what was wrong with him and why he wanted to search in the forest so badly! He even didn’t knew WHERE he was searching for! But a few hours later, when everybody was distracted and some of the vampires even already had fallen asleep he… Felt it again, the urge to search for… Something… So not listening to his brother and ignoring the warning that is was dangerous here he started to walk again, secretly he left the encampment and entered the forest for the second time that day…
The darkness wasn’t a problem for him because he could see perfectly in the darkness but what was bothering him was the uneasy feeling he got when he had entered the forest, it felt strange to walk here and to… Just being here! If somebody was telling him that something really bad had happened here than he would believe that person immediately! But even now that he was feeling uneasy he… still felt the urge to search further and to… find that where he was searching for! But every step further into the forest he realized that it became more and more uneasy, the air felt heavy to breath and it seemed as if even the animals weren’t living here! It was just… silent around him! It was now so silent that he started to… doubt about what he was doing here and if it was stupid for him to be here, YooChun had warned him and… His brother normally only warned him about something when it was really dangerous! So… maybe… maybe he needed to listen to his brother and… turn around now that he still could find his way back! This forest wasn’t normal, the atmosphere was too heavy and he was now convinced that SOMETHING had happened here, something really bad and dangerous! But just when he wanted to turn around he saw something, it was a… old rock? He stared at the rock and the strange feeling that he NEEDED to find something or somebody was getting stronger now that he was looking at the strange rock, in the middle of the forest!
Not thinking at all he walked toward the rock and when he looked closer at it he saw that there were really a lot strange symbols written all over it! He looked around him and saw that the trees also ware standing in a perfect circle around the rock, as if… this was very important place! But the rock was covered with dirt and it seemed to be VERY old! And then he saw it, he saw that something was written on the bottom of the rock, it was written in a strange language he didn’t recognized but because he was curious he started to read it out loud, still not realizing how dangerous it was for him to do something like that… “STOP! YUNHO! DON’T DO IT!” He heard how YooChun shouted at him and then he saw how his brother ran toward him, his eyes wide and he even saw… that his brother was afraid! “Stay away from that rock YunHo! It’s dangerous, it will bring you to the world from the midnight vampires!” YooChun still shouted but he was too late, YunHo already had finished with reading! “Go away from it before it’s too late, we still can stop it” spoke YooChun while he eyed his brother worried. “Before we can stop what?” spoke YunHo frustrated because NOBODY was telling him anything!
He still sat still before the rock, refusing to stand up because he really was feeling irritated now and he stared hard back at his older brother. “The Midnight vampires are not real, they are vampires out of a scary children story so don’t try to distract me! I’m not a fool YooChun! What is going on here?” He still stared at his older brother when he saw that YooChun was getting more and more nervous… “They are real YunHo, the Midnight vampires… They are real and you are sitting before the entrance to their world, our ancestors have placed this rock here for more than five thousand years ago to prevent them from crossing back to our world! It’s sealed with a lot protective symbols to keep them out of our world but…” YooChun still stared worried at him and the look in YooChun’s eyes made him uncomfortable… “Only a direct descendant from the person who has placed this rock, complete with the seals, can remove it or enter the world to the Midnight vampires and… The rock has been placed here by our ancestors! The king who had ruled in that age has placed this rock so YOU and I are both able to remove it or to open it! So please, YunHo… Go away from that rock before you are doing something we can’t change!”
Still staring at his brother YunHo saw that… YooChun was telling the truth, he really wasn’t playing a stupid game with him and he was really serious… So with his eyes wide and feeling worried he nodded to his brother. “But… Where are we? Why is it feeling so… strange here?” He saw that YooChun stared alarmed at him and that made him even more worried! “What do you feel YunHo? What do you feel while you are here and… WHY are you here?” Again he had the feeling that his brother knew something he didn’t and because he had ignored YooChun before he decided to be honest this time. “It’s feeling strange here, as if something bad had happened here and…” He now looked frustrated at his brother, “I don’t know why I’m here, I just… Have the feeling that I need to find something here… I don’t know what but… It has something to do with that stone! I… really… Need to find something or somebody!” He sighed and hoped that he wasn’t sounding too stupid!
YooChun’s face darkened and he looked now really… Strange at him! “During the war between the Midnight vampires and us we have lost really a lot of our people, and… One of the most bloodiest battle has happened here, just before the rock has been placed, more than thousand vampires have died here, both Midnight vampires as Daylight vampires… When the rock was placed here you could see the dead everywhere… The ground was red from the blood and you could hear the screams from the dying…” YooChun spoke sad and he shivered while he looked around him, probably thinking about what had happened here and feeling happy that he didn’t had seen it with his own eyes… But then he looked at YunHo and he… looked again worried. “YunHo… You told me that you were searching for something or somebody but…” YooChun looked at the rock and then he stared again at YunHo… “There is nobody here YunHo, we are the only vampires here in the forest… And… It’s probably the best for you to leave this place and to never come back, I want you to forget about this place and to not think again about it… Nobody is here YunHo” spoke YooChun again and he offered YunHo his hand to stand up. “Come with me YunHo, let’s leave this place” spoke YooChun, still sounding unusual nervous. Frowning because YooChun acted strange and because he emphasized it that nobody was here… As if he… was afraid for something, as if he wanted to let him believe that there was nothing here to search for! And then he saw it, YooChun stared at his birthmark? But why?
“YunHo, come with me now… I’m not mad at you but just… Come with me okay?” But… YunHo still sat still and stared at his brother, he… he knew that YooChun was telling the truth this time and he knew that it was better to listen to his brother but… The feeling that he needed to search for something or somebody was so strong now! “YooChun… There is something here and I need to find it” muttered YunHo while he looked down at the rock, feeling strange. “No, you don’t need to find anything here, it’s forbidden to be here YunHo and if we weren’t the sons from the king then we would be in real trouble for being here!” YooChun did another step toward him and again offered him his hand. “Come YunHo, we need to talk with father about this, you need to know what had happened here and then I want you to never think about it again!” YunHo shivered and nodded, he didn’t wanted to leave but… He couldn’t stay here and disobey his brother, he didn’t knew the way back and he needed his brother. But just when he tried to stand up he… stumbled and to break his fall he grabbed the rock to not fall to the ground. He heard how YooChun shouted at him, he saw how his brother tried to push him away from the rock but then… Nothing!
Everything became dark around him! He didn’t heard how YooChun shouted, he didn’t felt how his brother tried to push him away… There was just… Nothing! He didn’t knew what happened to him and where he was, but, after a few minutes he felt how he fell! He fell to the ground but… He didn’t fell hard, the ground was soft so he didn’t became wounded. Opening his eyes he saw that he lay on the ground behind a really huge fence! He tried to stand up, alarmed because he KNEW that he never had been here before and he was afraid that he was… in the world from the Midnight vampires! But, he realized that he couldn’t stand up, he felt suddenly so weak and drained! He had trouble with keeping his eyes open and that bothered him, he had never felt like this before! “WHO IS THERE!?” Shouted suddenly a voice from the other side of the fence, but he was too tired to look up and… Secretly he was too scared to look at who was standing there, so he stayed where he was and he hoped that they would not go and search for him, but… All his hopes were for nothing, he heard how a few people were walking toward him and the next moment he felt a pair of hands on his arms!
“I have him!” Shouted a voice and then the person who had touched him by his arms pulled him upright! Scared he looked at the person who had grabbed him and he saw… A Midnight vampire! The eyes from the vampire were black and not brown like his and… They were also smelling so different! He knew it for sure, YooChun was right and this were the Midnight vampires, he was in trouble… But while he looked at the Midnight vampire he saw that the Midnight vampire also looked at him and… The vampire recognized him like a Daylight vampire! He saw it! He saw that the look in the eyes from the other vampire changed and that he looked… darker, angry…! “Well well… Look at what we have found here…” Muttered the vampire and he stared cold at him, “a Daylight vampire in our world… Hmm…” He stared at the other vampire and became really scared now, he wasn’t a worrier and he never had needed it to protect himself! Nobody had expected him to do anything as the second son and the second hair to the throne from his father, YooChun had always needed to do all those things because HE was supposed to take over, not HE! He knew NOTHING about defending himself and he did NOT know what to do now! He felt so powerless and useless now!
He heard how the Midnight vampire started to laugh and he stared even more scared at the vampire than he already was! “Look at this Daylight vampire, he is so weak and… HE IS SCARED!” He heard how more vampires were laughing and when he looked around him he saw that more than seven vampires were standing around him, all watching him scornfully! “Bring him to the dungeon and lock him up until I’m ready to interrogate him” spoke a cold and hard voice and all the other vampires responded immediately to what that person was saying! The vampire who was holding him dragged him away from the place where they had found him and they brought him to a cage! It wasn’t just a dungeon but REALLY a cage where animals were supposed to be kept in! He was pushed forward and when he fell to the ground he heard how more vampires were laughing because of him! He felt how his face became red and he felt ashamed because of his own stupidly and because he didn’t had listened to what his brother had tried to tell him. Why o why was he ALWAYS finding trouble? He wanted to cry because, well… He wasn’t as brave as his brother, he had always been different and he had known it!
His brother was engaged to a beautiful girl from also a very important family and his parents also have tried to introduce him to a beautiful young woman to marry with when he was older but he had refused, he had realized at that moment that he didn’t liked girls, he just… couldn’t imagine himself that he was going to marry with a girl but… Telling it to his parents had been difficult, he had been afraid to say it out loud and to be rejected! But, even now that his parents didn’t had liked it, they had accepted it! He knew that it was easier for them to accept him because he wasn’t the first heir to the throne and because he didn’t needed to bring them grandchildren…. But now he regretted it that he didn’t had wanted to do all the manly stuff YooChun liked, he regretted it that he didn’t had wanted to learn how to fight because he NEEDED it now that he was in trouble! Angry with himself that he was so weak and that he never had been interested in all those important things he tried NOT to listen to what was going on and to what the Midnight vampires were saying, most of the time they were talking about him anyway, always bad and humiliating, of course…
He had closed his eyes and felt misery when suddenly everything became silent around him! All the vampires who were laughing, just a few seconds before, were now silent and… Somebody had entered the room! Panicking he squeezed his eyes shut and was fighting against his panic and to NOT cry now because he REALLY felt scared at this point! The person who had just entered the dungeon MUST be really dangerous because why else were the other Midnight vampires suddenly so silent?! “Who is he and why is he locked up?” A voice spoke and… the owner from the voice sounded cold and hard but… Strangely he didn’t felt nervous anymore! He felt… As if he had found that where he had been searching for! But because he still knew that he was in trouble and he didn’t knew who that person was he didn’t looked up and stayed silent… “It’s a Daylight vampire, we have found him behind the fence, a few meter before the portal” spoke one of the Midnight vampires slowly and… respectful! This other person MUST be very important! “He isn’t dangerous, he even is scared of us, look at him my lord, he is too scared to even look at us! He isn’t a fighter so I’m sure that we can get all the information we need!” The other person didn’t spoke more but he walked toward him! He heard how the person stopped before his cage and then…
“Leave us alone” the person spoke again cold and hard and… Everybody responded! Within a few seconds everybody had left and… They were alone! He, Jung YunHo, was alone with a strange and powerful Midnight vampire! “Open your eyes and look at me” spoke the other vampire but this time he didn’t sounded cold and mean but… curious? Shivering he opened his eyes and stared at the vampire who stood before him and… He saw that the Midnight vampire before him was really handsome but his eyes, they were so black! “You’re indeed a Daylight vampire…” muttered the other vampire while he stared interested at him but he became a little uneasy when the other vampire seemed to look at his whole body! “There is something strange about you…” the other vampire opened the cage and stepped inside to get closer besides him! His first response was to back away from the other vampire, he didn’t knew him and he was a… a Midnight vampire! He couldn’t listen now to his curiousness and act stupid! Because of his stupidly he was here!
So he looked down at the ground and felt nervous, not knowing what was going to happen next… Was he going to die now? He didn’t wanted to die, he wanted to go back to his own world and to tell his brother that he was sorry and that he was regretting it that he didn’t had listened! He wanted to see his parents again and he… He just wanted to go home! But just when he started to shiver he felt how the other vampire grabbed him by his arm and he saw that… the vampire rolled up his sleeve! Why was he doing that?! Looking wide eyed at the vampire he saw that… The other vampire stared at his birthmark! Just like his brother had done when they were still in their own world! Why? Why was the other vampire staring at it as if it was important for him? “Now I know why I never was able to find a partner for life…” The other vampire spoke slowly and he sounded to himself… surprised and… worried! The other vampire now looked up and stared him right into his eyes. “I couldn’t find my partner because he wasn’t born in my world… It all makes sense now!” YunHo stared at the vampire before him but he really had no idea where he was talking about! Why was he talking to himself like that?
Nervous he tried to pull his arm back and… Strangely the other vampire allowed him to do it! “You’re scared of me, why?” asked the vampire while he narrowed his eyes, you are wearing my mark, so why are you afraid?” The vampire now sounded confused and his frown deepened. “I… I don’t know where you are talking about…” Whispered YunHo while he looked at the other vampire like he was a predator who was ready to eat him alive! “You are having my mark on your arm, you are fated to be my partner for life” spoke the vampire again, expecting him to… agree with him? But he really didn’t understood what was going on and where this Midnight vampire was talking about! He just wanted to go home! “Please, let me go home…” Begged YunHo with a whispering voice and again he needed to fight against his tears. He was so confused and afraid! He didn’t knew where this vampire was talking about and what he wanted from him! It was clear that the other vampire didn’t was here to hurt him because if he had wanted to do something to him than he already would have done it, but what else wanted this vampire do to him? YunHo was way to innocent to know what this man could do to him but he still was afraid and nervous because of this whole situation.
“You’re really scared for me… That is interesting… But I can understand it, you are a Daylight vampire and you don’t belong here in my world… So, let’s talk” spoke the other vampire suddenly calm and he opened the cage for him! “My name is Kim JaeJoong and I’m a prince and I’m the hair to the throne” JaeJoong spoke still calm and he moved slowly, probably to not scare him more than he already had done and he offered YunHo his hand to step out of the cage but… All what YunHo did was staring at JaeJoong, shocked, nervous and… confused! Everything was so strange and he really didn’t understood at all what was going on! He had felt the urge to search for something or somebody and now that he had found JaeJoong, or… now that JaeJoong had found him, he felt… as if he had found where he had been searching for! But that was just strange and… Where was this Midnight vampire talking about? “You can leave the cage now and I promise you that nobody will hurt you, not while you are under my protection” spoke JaeJoong again calm but he still didn’t wanted to leave the cage and to…to trust this vampire! What if he was a murderer? Like the Midnight vampires in the stories he had heard? He saw that JaeJoong was watching him and he heard how the other vampire sighed before he sat down on the ground before him.
“What is your name?” Asked JaeJoong and this time he even sounded friendly! But he didn’t spoke and looked down at the ground, too nervous to move or even to blink with his eyes! So when he didn’t answered and it became silent in the dungeon he heard again how JaeJoong sighed, this time frustrated. “Okay… If you don’t want to speak then I will explain a few things to you because I’m having the idea that you absolutely have no idea about what is happening to you and where I’m talking about…” He still looked down at the ground so when he again didn’t answered he heard how the other vampire started with speaking. “It’s normal for us, the Midnight vampires, to be born with a fated partner, every vampire is having a partner of his own and if the vampire can’t find his or her partner he or she will never find true love… A vampire can recognize his or her partner because of a birthmark, the two vampires will have exactly the same birthmark and at the same place… It’s also common that the two vampires, when they are near each other for the first time, are able to feel it. And… If I’m honest I need to say that I was feeling uneasy for the whole day until I came to this place and found you…” He saw from the corner or his eye that JaeJoong rolled up his sleeve and… When he looked at JaeJoong’s arm he saw EXACTLY the same birthmark as what he had!
His eyes widened and he even made a shocked sound! “I assume that it’s not normal for the Daylight vampires to have a fated partner” spoke JaeJoong calm while he still had been observing him. But now that he had heard JaeJoong’s story AND now that he had seen that they were having indeed the same birthmark he started to… Hesitate. What was going on!? Was…JaeJoong telling the truth? But why him? He didn’t wanted to be here! This wasn’t his home, he was a daylight vampire and this was the world from the Midnight vampires, they were too different and… They have been in a war with each other in the past! The Midnight vampires have tried to kill them and to steal their humans! The humans who were free and who were WILLINGLY giving them their blood, in return for protection! “Let me go home” was all what he spoke to JaeJoong, not responding at all to what the other vampire had told him. He saw that JaeJoong looked strange at him but… He really didn’t wanted to be here! “I can’t force you to stay besides me, a fated partner can choose to leave and to stay away from his other half, but… It’s not common and… I don’t want to let you go now, you are in my world and there is no way back for you, the portal has been sealed from the other side and there is only one way trough that gate, and that is from the other side.
We don’t know how to open it, it’s blocked for us” JaeJoong now stared at him and he believed the vampire, he saw the truth in JaeJoong’s eyes! And… There is another part about why I don’t want to let you go… You are a Daylight vampire and… Let’s say that really a lot vampires here are hating you and they want you to die… My people never have forgotten that we have lost the war. When you are leaving now then you will be dead within twenty-four hours, and then I’m still thinking positive!” JaeJoong’s words were scaring him and… He started to tremble uncontrollably, realizing that he indeed was in trouble and that he didn’t had another choice than to… follow this vampire he didn’t knew! “I will not hurt you” repeated JaeJoong and he offered him his hand again, just like he had done a few minutes earlier. Staring scared at the other vampire he took JaeJoong’s hand while he himself still trembled from all the stress, fear, tension and the tiredness. But, when he felt how JaeJoong’s hand touched his he realized that he felt… safer! Again feeling confused he pulled his hand back when he had stepped out of the cage and he hide them inside his pockets. But because standing was still difficult for him after his travel between the two different world she almost fell the moment he stood upright! He saw that JaeJoong wanted to help him but he backed away from the vampire and forced himself to stand and to stay strong!
“Please, will you tell me you name?” Asked JaeJoong while he walked toward the door to open it, accepting it that he really didn’t wanted to be touched by JaeJoong and that he wanted to walk by himself. “J- Jung YunHo” answered he in a whisper, still looking down. “Then, welcome to my world, Jung YunHo!” JaeJoong opened the door further and stepped outside, “please follow me, this isn’t a good place to stay and I’m sure that you want to have some space for you own to think” this time JaeJoong didn’t waited for him to respond and he also didn’t looked behind him to see if YunHo followed him, he just walked outside! Still trembling he followed the vampire, not because he wanted to but because he needed to! And…This vampire, Kim JaeJoong, was the only one who had been friendly toward him since he had been here! Feeling like he was a prisoner he followed JaeJoong outside and then he saw it, ALL the Midnight vampires who have captured him were standing outside, staring at him and at the birthmark on his arm! “Come with me YunHo” JaeJoong walked away from the staring people and he… he followed the vampire, not knowing where they were going and what was going to happen. In silence he prayed for YooChun to search for him and to bring him home!

But every step further into the forest he realized that it became more and more uneasy, the air felt heavy to breath and it seemed as if even the animals weren’t living here! It was just… silent around him! It was now so silent that he started to… doubt about what he was doing here and if it was stupid for him to be here, YooChun had warned him and… His brother normally only warned him about something when it was really dangerous! So… maybe… maybe he needed to listen to his brother and… turn around now that he still could find his way back! This forest wasn’t normal, the atmosphere was too heavy and he was now convinced that SOMETHING had happened here, something really bad and dangerous! But just when he wanted to turn around he saw something, it was a… old rock? He stared at the rock and the strange feeling that he NEEDED to find something or somebody was getting stronger now that he was looking at the strange rock, in the middle of the forest!
Not thinking at all he walked toward the rock and when he looked closer at it he saw that there were really a lot strange symbols written all over it! He looked around him and saw that the trees also ware standing in a perfect circle around the rock, as if… this was very important place! But the rock was covered with dirt and it seemed to be VERY old! And then he saw it, he saw that something was written on the bottom of the rock, it was written in a strange language he didn’t recognized but because he was curious he started to read it out loud, still not realizing how dangerous it was for him to do something like that… “STOP! YUNHO! DON’T DO IT!” He heard how YooChun shouted at him and then he saw how his brother ran toward him, his eyes wide and he even saw… that his brother was afraid! “Stay away from that rock YunHo! It’s dangerous, it will bring you to the world from the midnight vampires!” YooChun still shouted but he was too late, YunHo already had finished with reading! “Go away from it before it’s too late, we still can stop it” spoke YooChun while he eyed his brother worried. “Before we can stop what?” spoke YunHo frustrated because NOBODY was telling him anything!
He still sat still before the rock, refusing to stand up because he really was feeling irritated now and he stared hard back at his older brother. “The Midnight vampires are not real, they are vampires out of a scary children story so don’t try to distract me! I’m not a fool YooChun! What is going on here?” He still stared at his older brother when he saw that YooChun was getting more and more nervous… “They are real YunHo, the Midnight vampires… They are real and you are sitting before the entrance to their world, our ancestors have placed this rock here for more than five thousand years ago to prevent them from crossing back to our world! It’s sealed with a lot protective symbols to keep them out of our world but…” YooChun still stared worried at him and the look in YooChun’s eyes made him uncomfortable… “Only a direct descendant from the person who has placed this rock, complete with the seals, can remove it or enter the world to the Midnight vampires and… The rock has been placed here by our ancestors! The king who had ruled in that age has placed this rock so YOU and I are both able to remove it or to open it! So please, YunHo… Go away from that rock before you are doing something we can’t change!”
Still staring at his brother YunHo saw that… YooChun was telling the truth, he really wasn’t playing a stupid game with him and he was really serious… So with his eyes wide and feeling worried he nodded to his brother. “But… Where are we? Why is it feeling so… strange here?” He saw that YooChun stared alarmed at him and that made him even more worried! “What do you feel YunHo? What do you feel while you are here and… WHY are you here?” Again he had the feeling that his brother knew something he didn’t and because he had ignored YooChun before he decided to be honest this time. “It’s feeling strange here, as if something bad had happened here and…” He now looked frustrated at his brother, “I don’t know why I’m here, I just… Have the feeling that I need to find something here… I don’t know what but… It has something to do with that stone! I… really… Need to find something or somebody!” He sighed and hoped that he wasn’t sounding too stupid!
YooChun’s face darkened and he looked now really… Strange at him! “During the war between the Midnight vampires and us we have lost really a lot of our people, and… One of the most bloodiest battle has happened here, just before the rock has been placed, more than thousand vampires have died here, both Midnight vampires as Daylight vampires… When the rock was placed here you could see the dead everywhere… The ground was red from the blood and you could hear the screams from the dying…” YooChun spoke sad and he shivered while he looked around him, probably thinking about what had happened here and feeling happy that he didn’t had seen it with his own eyes… But then he looked at YunHo and he… looked again worried. “YunHo… You told me that you were searching for something or somebody but…” YooChun looked at the rock and then he stared again at YunHo… “There is nobody here YunHo, we are the only vampires here in the forest… And… It’s probably the best for you to leave this place and to never come back, I want you to forget about this place and to not think again about it… Nobody is here YunHo” spoke YooChun again and he offered YunHo his hand to stand up. “Come with me YunHo, let’s leave this place” spoke YooChun, still sounding unusual nervous. Frowning because YooChun acted strange and because he emphasized it that nobody was here… As if he… was afraid for something, as if he wanted to let him believe that there was nothing here to search for! And then he saw it, YooChun stared at his birthmark? But why?
“YunHo, come with me now… I’m not mad at you but just… Come with me okay?” But… YunHo still sat still and stared at his brother, he… he knew that YooChun was telling the truth this time and he knew that it was better to listen to his brother but… The feeling that he needed to search for something or somebody was so strong now! “YooChun… There is something here and I need to find it” muttered YunHo while he looked down at the rock, feeling strange. “No, you don’t need to find anything here, it’s forbidden to be here YunHo and if we weren’t the sons from the king then we would be in real trouble for being here!” YooChun did another step toward him and again offered him his hand. “Come YunHo, we need to talk with father about this, you need to know what had happened here and then I want you to never think about it again!” YunHo shivered and nodded, he didn’t wanted to leave but… He couldn’t stay here and disobey his brother, he didn’t knew the way back and he needed his brother. But just when he tried to stand up he… stumbled and to break his fall he grabbed the rock to not fall to the ground. He heard how YooChun shouted at him, he saw how his brother tried to push him away from the rock but then… Nothing!
Everything became dark around him! He didn’t heard how YooChun shouted, he didn’t felt how his brother tried to push him away… There was just… Nothing! He didn’t knew what happened to him and where he was, but, after a few minutes he felt how he fell! He fell to the ground but… He didn’t fell hard, the ground was soft so he didn’t became wounded. Opening his eyes he saw that he lay on the ground behind a really huge fence! He tried to stand up, alarmed because he KNEW that he never had been here before and he was afraid that he was… in the world from the Midnight vampires! But, he realized that he couldn’t stand up, he felt suddenly so weak and drained! He had trouble with keeping his eyes open and that bothered him, he had never felt like this before! “WHO IS THERE!?” Shouted suddenly a voice from the other side of the fence, but he was too tired to look up and… Secretly he was too scared to look at who was standing there, so he stayed where he was and he hoped that they would not go and search for him, but… All his hopes were for nothing, he heard how a few people were walking toward him and the next moment he felt a pair of hands on his arms!
“I have him!” Shouted a voice and then the person who had touched him by his arms pulled him upright! Scared he looked at the person who had grabbed him and he saw… A Midnight vampire! The eyes from the vampire were black and not brown like his and… They were also smelling so different! He knew it for sure, YooChun was right and this were the Midnight vampires, he was in trouble… But while he looked at the Midnight vampire he saw that the Midnight vampire also looked at him and… The vampire recognized him like a Daylight vampire! He saw it! He saw that the look in the eyes from the other vampire changed and that he looked… darker, angry…! “Well well… Look at what we have found here…” Muttered the vampire and he stared cold at him, “a Daylight vampire in our world… Hmm…” He stared at the other vampire and became really scared now, he wasn’t a worrier and he never had needed it to protect himself! Nobody had expected him to do anything as the second son and the second hair to the throne from his father, YooChun had always needed to do all those things because HE was supposed to take over, not HE! He knew NOTHING about defending himself and he did NOT know what to do now! He felt so powerless and useless now!
He heard how the Midnight vampire started to laugh and he stared even more scared at the vampire than he already was! “Look at this Daylight vampire, he is so weak and… HE IS SCARED!” He heard how more vampires were laughing and when he looked around him he saw that more than seven vampires were standing around him, all watching him scornfully! “Bring him to the dungeon and lock him up until I’m ready to interrogate him” spoke a cold and hard voice and all the other vampires responded immediately to what that person was saying! The vampire who was holding him dragged him away from the place where they had found him and they brought him to a cage! It wasn’t just a dungeon but REALLY a cage where animals were supposed to be kept in! He was pushed forward and when he fell to the ground he heard how more vampires were laughing because of him! He felt how his face became red and he felt ashamed because of his own stupidly and because he didn’t had listened to what his brother had tried to tell him. Why o why was he ALWAYS finding trouble? He wanted to cry because, well… He wasn’t as brave as his brother, he had always been different and he had known it!
His brother was engaged to a beautiful girl from also a very important family and his parents also have tried to introduce him to a beautiful young woman to marry with when he was older but he had refused, he had realized at that moment that he didn’t liked girls, he just… couldn’t imagine himself that he was going to marry with a girl but… Telling it to his parents had been difficult, he had been afraid to say it out loud and to be rejected! But, even now that his parents didn’t had liked it, they had accepted it! He knew that it was easier for them to accept him because he wasn’t the first heir to the throne and because he didn’t needed to bring them grandchildren…. But now he regretted it that he didn’t had wanted to do all the manly stuff YooChun liked, he regretted it that he didn’t had wanted to learn how to fight because he NEEDED it now that he was in trouble! Angry with himself that he was so weak and that he never had been interested in all those important things he tried NOT to listen to what was going on and to what the Midnight vampires were saying, most of the time they were talking about him anyway, always bad and humiliating, of course…
He had closed his eyes and felt misery when suddenly everything became silent around him! All the vampires who were laughing, just a few seconds before, were now silent and… Somebody had entered the room! Panicking he squeezed his eyes shut and was fighting against his panic and to NOT cry now because he REALLY felt scared at this point! The person who had just entered the dungeon MUST be really dangerous because why else were the other Midnight vampires suddenly so silent?! “Who is he and why is he locked up?” A voice spoke and… the owner from the voice sounded cold and hard but… Strangely he didn’t felt nervous anymore! He felt… As if he had found that where he had been searching for! But because he still knew that he was in trouble and he didn’t knew who that person was he didn’t looked up and stayed silent… “It’s a Daylight vampire, we have found him behind the fence, a few meter before the portal” spoke one of the Midnight vampires slowly and… respectful! This other person MUST be very important! “He isn’t dangerous, he even is scared of us, look at him my lord, he is too scared to even look at us! He isn’t a fighter so I’m sure that we can get all the information we need!” The other person didn’t spoke more but he walked toward him! He heard how the person stopped before his cage and then…
“Leave us alone” the person spoke again cold and hard and… Everybody responded! Within a few seconds everybody had left and… They were alone! He, Jung YunHo, was alone with a strange and powerful Midnight vampire! “Open your eyes and look at me” spoke the other vampire but this time he didn’t sounded cold and mean but… curious? Shivering he opened his eyes and stared at the vampire who stood before him and… He saw that the Midnight vampire before him was really handsome but his eyes, they were so black! “You’re indeed a Daylight vampire…” muttered the other vampire while he stared interested at him but he became a little uneasy when the other vampire seemed to look at his whole body! “There is something strange about you…” the other vampire opened the cage and stepped inside to get closer besides him! His first response was to back away from the other vampire, he didn’t knew him and he was a… a Midnight vampire! He couldn’t listen now to his curiousness and act stupid! Because of his stupidly he was here!
So he looked down at the ground and felt nervous, not knowing what was going to happen next… Was he going to die now? He didn’t wanted to die, he wanted to go back to his own world and to tell his brother that he was sorry and that he was regretting it that he didn’t had listened! He wanted to see his parents again and he… He just wanted to go home! But just when he started to shiver he felt how the other vampire grabbed him by his arm and he saw that… the vampire rolled up his sleeve! Why was he doing that?! Looking wide eyed at the vampire he saw that… The other vampire stared at his birthmark! Just like his brother had done when they were still in their own world! Why? Why was the other vampire staring at it as if it was important for him? “Now I know why I never was able to find a partner for life…” The other vampire spoke slowly and he sounded to himself… surprised and… worried! The other vampire now looked up and stared him right into his eyes. “I couldn’t find my partner because he wasn’t born in my world… It all makes sense now!” YunHo stared at the vampire before him but he really had no idea where he was talking about! Why was he talking to himself like that?
Nervous he tried to pull his arm back and… Strangely the other vampire allowed him to do it! “You’re scared of me, why?” asked the vampire while he narrowed his eyes, you are wearing my mark, so why are you afraid?” The vampire now sounded confused and his frown deepened. “I… I don’t know where you are talking about…” Whispered YunHo while he looked at the other vampire like he was a predator who was ready to eat him alive! “You are having my mark on your arm, you are fated to be my partner for life” spoke the vampire again, expecting him to… agree with him? But he really didn’t understood what was going on and where this Midnight vampire was talking about! He just wanted to go home! “Please, let me go home…” Begged YunHo with a whispering voice and again he needed to fight against his tears. He was so confused and afraid! He didn’t knew where this vampire was talking about and what he wanted from him! It was clear that the other vampire didn’t was here to hurt him because if he had wanted to do something to him than he already would have done it, but what else wanted this vampire do to him? YunHo was way to innocent to know what this man could do to him but he still was afraid and nervous because of this whole situation.
“You’re really scared for me… That is interesting… But I can understand it, you are a Daylight vampire and you don’t belong here in my world… So, let’s talk” spoke the other vampire suddenly calm and he opened the cage for him! “My name is Kim JaeJoong and I’m a prince and I’m the hair to the throne” JaeJoong spoke still calm and he moved slowly, probably to not scare him more than he already had done and he offered YunHo his hand to step out of the cage but… All what YunHo did was staring at JaeJoong, shocked, nervous and… confused! Everything was so strange and he really didn’t understood at all what was going on! He had felt the urge to search for something or somebody and now that he had found JaeJoong, or… now that JaeJoong had found him, he felt… as if he had found where he had been searching for! But that was just strange and… Where was this Midnight vampire talking about? “You can leave the cage now and I promise you that nobody will hurt you, not while you are under my protection” spoke JaeJoong again calm but he still didn’t wanted to leave the cage and to…to trust this vampire! What if he was a murderer? Like the Midnight vampires in the stories he had heard? He saw that JaeJoong was watching him and he heard how the other vampire sighed before he sat down on the ground before him.
“What is your name?” Asked JaeJoong and this time he even sounded friendly! But he didn’t spoke and looked down at the ground, too nervous to move or even to blink with his eyes! So when he didn’t answered and it became silent in the dungeon he heard again how JaeJoong sighed, this time frustrated. “Okay… If you don’t want to speak then I will explain a few things to you because I’m having the idea that you absolutely have no idea about what is happening to you and where I’m talking about…” He still looked down at the ground so when he again didn’t answered he heard how the other vampire started with speaking. “It’s normal for us, the Midnight vampires, to be born with a fated partner, every vampire is having a partner of his own and if the vampire can’t find his or her partner he or she will never find true love… A vampire can recognize his or her partner because of a birthmark, the two vampires will have exactly the same birthmark and at the same place… It’s also common that the two vampires, when they are near each other for the first time, are able to feel it. And… If I’m honest I need to say that I was feeling uneasy for the whole day until I came to this place and found you…” He saw from the corner or his eye that JaeJoong rolled up his sleeve and… When he looked at JaeJoong’s arm he saw EXACTLY the same birthmark as what he had!
His eyes widened and he even made a shocked sound! “I assume that it’s not normal for the Daylight vampires to have a fated partner” spoke JaeJoong calm while he still had been observing him. But now that he had heard JaeJoong’s story AND now that he had seen that they were having indeed the same birthmark he started to… Hesitate. What was going on!? Was…JaeJoong telling the truth? But why him? He didn’t wanted to be here! This wasn’t his home, he was a daylight vampire and this was the world from the Midnight vampires, they were too different and… They have been in a war with each other in the past! The Midnight vampires have tried to kill them and to steal their humans! The humans who were free and who were WILLINGLY giving them their blood, in return for protection! “Let me go home” was all what he spoke to JaeJoong, not responding at all to what the other vampire had told him. He saw that JaeJoong looked strange at him but… He really didn’t wanted to be here! “I can’t force you to stay besides me, a fated partner can choose to leave and to stay away from his other half, but… It’s not common and… I don’t want to let you go now, you are in my world and there is no way back for you, the portal has been sealed from the other side and there is only one way trough that gate, and that is from the other side.
We don’t know how to open it, it’s blocked for us” JaeJoong now stared at him and he believed the vampire, he saw the truth in JaeJoong’s eyes! And… There is another part about why I don’t want to let you go… You are a Daylight vampire and… Let’s say that really a lot vampires here are hating you and they want you to die… My people never have forgotten that we have lost the war. When you are leaving now then you will be dead within twenty-four hours, and then I’m still thinking positive!” JaeJoong’s words were scaring him and… He started to tremble uncontrollably, realizing that he indeed was in trouble and that he didn’t had another choice than to… follow this vampire he didn’t knew! “I will not hurt you” repeated JaeJoong and he offered him his hand again, just like he had done a few minutes earlier. Staring scared at the other vampire he took JaeJoong’s hand while he himself still trembled from all the stress, fear, tension and the tiredness. But, when he felt how JaeJoong’s hand touched his he realized that he felt… safer! Again feeling confused he pulled his hand back when he had stepped out of the cage and he hide them inside his pockets. But because standing was still difficult for him after his travel between the two different world she almost fell the moment he stood upright! He saw that JaeJoong wanted to help him but he backed away from the vampire and forced himself to stand and to stay strong!
“Please, will you tell me you name?” Asked JaeJoong while he walked toward the door to open it, accepting it that he really didn’t wanted to be touched by JaeJoong and that he wanted to walk by himself. “J- Jung YunHo” answered he in a whisper, still looking down. “Then, welcome to my world, Jung YunHo!” JaeJoong opened the door further and stepped outside, “please follow me, this isn’t a good place to stay and I’m sure that you want to have some space for you own to think” this time JaeJoong didn’t waited for him to respond and he also didn’t looked behind him to see if YunHo followed him, he just walked outside! Still trembling he followed the vampire, not because he wanted to but because he needed to! And…This vampire, Kim JaeJoong, was the only one who had been friendly toward him since he had been here! Feeling like he was a prisoner he followed JaeJoong outside and then he saw it, ALL the Midnight vampires who have captured him were standing outside, staring at him and at the birthmark on his arm! “Come with me YunHo” JaeJoong walked away from the staring people and he… he followed the vampire, not knowing where they were going and what was going to happen. In silence he prayed for YooChun to search for him and to bring him home!
