The Bajang is a vampire creature of Malaysia. The vampire creature is assumed to be a male that appears like a cat, such as a pole cat or a weasel.
There are different ways to create a Bajang. According to some stories, the Bajang came from the body of a stillborn child, In others, it’s said that people can be born as Bajangs from the souls of the dead, depending on their deeds in life.
A person can be transformed into a Bajang after death, if they committed evil deeds in their life. A person may also inherit the destiny of becoming a Bajang if the person’s ancestors committed evil deeds that they may have passed on.
Bajang vampires can also be created by a living person, and used to kill or torment others. The living person can summon the soul of a stillborn child that was freshly buried or caught just before being buried. If the spirit is successfully summoned, the living person can control its attacks and torments on others.
The Bajang normally threatens children. It will show up at a house, looking cute and cuddly, warning the family of the upcoming attack. They will feed on children most often, but make others their victims, as well.
Like most vampire creatures, the Bajang can also spread madness and disease among humans.
One can enslave a Bajang if it is handed down from one generation to the next. When a living person summons a Bajang, it can be passed down. The owner will have to feed the Bajang eggs, and if not fed enough, the vampire will attack its owner.

It was in the middle of the night and JaeJoong walked through the house from a few humans he just had killed. He had killed the two children first, a boy and a girl and he still heard their screams, the desperate cries from the parents and… to taste their blood, it just had been perfect! After all the centuries he lived he still felt surprised that every time again, when he would mew before the door from a house that he would be invited inside their houses! It just ALWAYS worked! Every human would bring him inside, try to feed him something to eat, thinking that he was a cute and friendly polecat, but he wasn’t a polecat, he only used the body from a polecat! He was a shape shifter and his favorite meal to eat were young children, he liked them when they were still infants because they were tasting better! They were still pure and innocent and he liked it! There were other Bajang vampires who also loved it to eat little children but… Most of the others liked it to eat the children who were a little older than the children he liked, and that was good because he would have more to eat and he didn’t needed to share anything!
He still walked through the house when he suddenly heard something, he heard how somebody was following him! Turning around he hissed dangerous, he still used the body from his polecat and he knew that he could attack the person who was following him easy if he wanted to but then… then he realized that he wasn’t followed by a normal human but by… Another Bajang vampire! His first reaction was to attack because this was HIS pray and HE was going to suck every human inside this house dry and he was NOT allowing it that a stupid, random Bajang vampire was going to steal HIS food! He had worked really hard to kill everybody and it was just rude from the other vampire to enter this house while he still was busy here! But just when he wanted to attack he… Stopped! The other vampire seemed to be lost and confused and he knew why… The vampire had just awakened as a Bajang vampire and this was his first time to walk with his polecat body! This vampire wasn’t trying to steal his food or wanted to be rude, he simply didn’t knew where he was and he followed him because they were the same and maybe because he hoped that JaeJoong could help him! Staring at the other Bajang vampire he tried to hide his surprise, he knew that a living human could be born as a Bajang vampire and that he or she would transform eventually, but he never had seen one in his life! He himself had been created because he had done a few really bad things during his life and because of that he had returned like this after he had died! And… Most of the Bajang vampires nowadays have been created like that!
So, seeing a Bajang vampire who was born to be like this was… exceptional! He himself had knew what was happening because the moment he died he realized that his soul wasn’t going up or down, he had felt how his soul stayed with his dead body and he had watched, as a dammed spirit how his body had started to change, so he had been ready for his new life when he had awakened as a vampire, but this Bajang vampire before him was totally clueless because he didn’t had done anything wrong in his life to be punished like this, but he was punished, he was paying for what his ancestors have done, somebody in his family who had died a long ago must have done something really bad and he must have passed HIS fate to this unsuspected and innocent boy! It was a mean thing to do, but it could happen… Somebody needed to explain to him what had happened because if nobody was doing it, then he would die or be captured by a human! Some humans knew how they could capture a Bajang vampire and IF the vampire was captured, he would be a slave! He had heard a few stories about a Bajang vampire who was serving a human but the vampire had freed himself when the master didn’t had given him enough eggs to eat, he had attacked the human and killed his own master! But, being a slave is one of the worst things what could happen to one of them and he felt strangely responsible for this new vampire! He didn’t knew this boy and normally he always lived alone and didn’t wanted to have company but now… Maybe he could do something for this boy and even make him his own! If this boy wanted to follow him then he could stay, but only when he was doing what HE wanted the boy to do!
So, slowly he walked toward the other Bajang vampire and stopped right in front of him, showing him that he wasn’t going to attack. And when he saw that the other vampire also didn’t seemed to be a danger to him he turned into his human body, the body he had used when he still had been alive. The first reaction from the other Bajang vampire was to back away from him and to stare with his eyes wide open at him! “I’m Kim JaeJoong and I’m just like you, a Bajang vampire, so don’t be afraid and transform back to you human body so that we can talk, and you will know instinctively how you need to do it, just concentrate and change!” While he spoke he folded his arms and stared at the other vampire, he didn’t sounded friendly but he also wasn’t mean to the boy, he just wanted to make clear that he was in control of the situation and that this boy needed to follow HIM if he wanted to have his help! “You are a vampire because of what somebody in your family has done and you need to pay the price now! So if you want to survive in this world than you better will be doing what I’m going to tell you!”
The reason why he always wanted to be alone and why he lived without the other vampires was simple, he wanted to be in control of everything and about everybody! He always had been like this and he always would stay the same! During his life he had been a very important person and if somebody didn’t had followed his orders, then he would have let them be killed, it was just that simple! He never cared about the ones who were less important then he! So if somebody was dying who didn’t had respected him then he felt no guilt about it! He was a ruler and if somebody didn’t liked it to follow him in his old life or in this life then they needed to die or to leave! There was just no other option! And the boy responded, he seemed to be nervous around him but still he followed his lead and did what JaeJoong had said to him! And that was good, this boy knew how to follow somebody who was better, stronger and more important than he was! A few seconds later he saw how the boy changed its body into a normal human body! The boy looked like a sixteen year old kid and… that was a normal age to became a Bajang vampire! The boy had brown hair, brown eyes and he stared really nervous at him, as if he was going to hurt him. “Who are you? What is your name?” He still spoke with the same voice to the boy and he saw that the boy seemed to become only more nervous than he already was, and that only because of him! Hmm, was he really that scary?
“I- I’m Jung YunHo…” YunHo hesitated but spoke again after a few seconds, “is it true? Am I a vampire? But… Why am I able to… change in a animal?” The boy sounded scared and he looked around him at everything what JaeJoong had done in this house, blood was everywhere! So IF he was trying to distract himself then he had failed by looking around him! He had slowly killed the parents in the living room and he knew that this other Bajang vampire, Jung YunHo, could smell what he had done here! “Yes, you are a vampire and yes, it is true! You are a Bajang vampire and you need to drink blood to survive! And it’s normal for you to change into a polecat, every Bajang vampire can do it…” JaeJoong stared at the boy and saw that he still looked scared at him but he still asked some more questions… “ What do you know about what had happened with you? Have you killed somebody?” He knew that he sounded rude now, but he needed to know it because IF this boy had accidently killed somebody then he needed to know when and where because people will start to search for him!
The police already might be called by now! And indeed! He saw the sad and pained look in the eyes from the boy, he had done something and he felt bad about it! “I have killed my little sister… She is my adopted sister and… One moment I was playing with her and the next moment I… attacked her! My parents were also home and when they tried to stop me I did something to them, I don’t know what but they became very sick! From one moment to another they were too sick to walk or to move! They just… fell to the ground and… they stayed there… It happened maybe two hours ago…” YunHo swallowed and shivered, it was clear that this boy was hurt but… If he was honest to himself he already had expected this, when a human was changing into a Bajang vampire for the first time he or she normally was going to kill his family, not because he or she wanted it, but because they simply couldn’t stop themselves from doing it!
Nodding to the boy JaeJoong walked past him and closed the curtains. “Then I’m sure that the police will be searching for you by now and I need to hide you…” Slowly he turned around to YunHo and eyed him serious. “Have you tasted the blood from you sister? Or haven’t you eaten anything since you have became a vampire?” He saw that the boy shuddered when he mentioned his family and also when he talked about him being a vampire but he didn’t had time to act nice and caring for this boy, not if they could be in danger because of this boy! “No… I haven’t… I couldn’t do it…” JaeJoong shook his head while he heard how the boy spoke and sighed. “Stupid! You know that it’s stupid to leave her like that! You already have killed her so why not drinking her blood? Now you have killed her for nothing and now you need to do it again by somebody else! I just can’t hide you when you are hungry, you will not only be a danger to yourself but also to me! So come with me and I will share my food with you, but don’t think that I’m doing this because I’m such a friendly person, no… This is the only and the last time I’m sharing anything with somebody else so be warned!
He saw that the boy winced but he didn’t cared, he just wanted to make himself clear and he knew that it had worked! He wasn’t going to make his own hands dirty just to feed somebody else! He had needed to learn how to kill so this boy needed to do the same! “Come with me and do what I’m telling you” he walked away from the boy and headed straight to the room where he had left the dead body from one of the children and he pointed with his finger toward it, now, make a cut in his vain and start with sucking! And yes, he knew that it was difficult and scary for this kid, but if he wasn’t going to learn it fast than he WOULD die here!
So, looking irritated again he walked toward the boy and grabbed him by his arm, “Jung YunHo, listen to me! You are a monster, accept it! You will lose your soul within a few weeks, maybe days! And there is nothing you can do about it, you will accept this life, even now that you think that it never would happen, but it WILL happen, you will accept this life and you will start to kill innocent people! And do you know why you will do it? It’s because you are born for this life, it is you curse and YOU need to learn to live with it!” He saw that the boy now really became scared of him but he wasn’t done with his tirade, it was for his own good! “You best chance to survive this is to stay with me but… I want you to obey me and to do what I’m telling you! I have only one rule and that is to obey me! If not than I need to leave you behind and you will not survive without me! So don’t act like a cry baby and do what you need to do, drink the blood from this kid and don’t listen to you already fading human feelings! Listen to the vampire deep inside of you and do it!” He pushed YunHo closer toward the dead child, he made a cut in the skin from the kid and created a wound, ready for YunHo to suck all the blood out and then he saw it, he saw that YunHo couldn’t control himself any longer, the fangs he had tried to hide so desperately were now visible inside of his mouth! Ready for their first bite!
And just when YunHo finally started to listen to his instincts he started to smile! He stared at the boy and he wondered why he was doing so much for this kid… This wasn’t something for him and… A few years ago he would have left the boy alone or pushed him toward the other vampires so that they could take care of him, but… Now… Something was different, he really felt the need to help the boy but at the same time he still was cold and hard, like always… Curious why he was so interested in the boy he decided to keep him just a little while longer and to see what was going to happen. If he was lucky and this boy knew how he could follow him then they both could became allays! Maybe it was because he… was getting older and bored… Maybe he needed some distraction and this boy was bringing some new energy into his boring life! Satisfied he saw how the boy tasted the blood from this human for the first time and he saw that he had been right! YunHo couldn’t stop himself from drinking and from acting like a true vampire! The boy grabbed the dead child and pushed the smaller body closer against himself to suck harder! He finally seemed to realize that it was better to just listen to his instincts and to kill! YunHo looked so… calm suddenly! “How do you feel, YunHo?” Asked JaeJoong while he sat down besides YunHo on the ground, careful to not step in the blood because he wanted to keep his shoes clean… Walking around with blood on your shoes is asking for trouble and he already had learned his lesson a few years ago! “I’m… I’m feeling good…” Whispered YunHo and he stared surprised up at JaeJoong, it was clear that the boy didn’t had expected this to happen and it was amusing JaeJoong to see how innocent this boy was. But that was going to change, he knew that. When YunHo was living longer like this he would lose his innocence, it happened with every vampire and nobody was going to escape from their fate! “Now, YunHo, have you made your decision? Are you going with me and will you obey me while I teach you how to live like a true vampire? Or do you want to leave me with the change to be killed or captured by a human who will make you his or her slave?”
He stared at the boy and observed him curious, he didn’t remembered much about the time when he had been young, it was too long ago but he knew that it must be difficult for somebody from YunHo’s age to leave everything behind and to… Start over and to begin with a new life, and that with a stranger! But it was the only thing he could offer the boy and… The boy needed to know how lucky he was THAT JaeJoong wanted to do this! Normally he wasn’t so kind to help somebody else! “Will I be you slave?” Asked the boy nervous while he met JaeJoong’s gaze. “No” spoke JaeJoong simple. “You will not be my slave and you can leave when you want, but WHEN you are with me, then you need to accept it that I’m the leader and then you need to listen to me” he stared hard at the boy but after a few minutes of silence he spoke again. “I look mean to you and I act gold, but if you have proved yourself to me and when you have showed me that you are worth it to be in my presence than I will accept you.” This time he spoke calm to the boy and wondered if he would accept his offer. Secretly he hoped it because, well… Now that he was helping this boy he realized that he really had been bored and that he needed some distraction! And this boy… was exactly what he needed! “Yes… I will follow you” whispered YunHo while he looked down at the ground, looking unsure and scared. Scared because of the unknown and scared because he just had learned that he wasn’t a normal human anymore but… a vampire! A murderer and a monster!
Slowly and looking calm JaeJoong stretched his hand out to the boy and pulled him to his feet. “Follow me YunHo, we need to leave the house before somebody will discover the bodies and will call for the police.” And while he spoke he started to walk away from the dead body behind him. “I want you to transform back to you polecat body so that we can leave the house without being noticed.” He didn’t looked at YunHo to see if he obeyed him and he transformed into his own polecat body, a raven black polecat with a pair of really intelligent eyes! He left the house and when he stepped over the threshold, into the fresh air he noted that YunHo had followed him, the brown colored polecat stood behind him, ready to do what he wanted!

The house was old and it was clear that nobody had lived here for more than ten years but it was good enough for them to hide! “What happened? Where are you wounded?” He pushed YunHo to the blanked on the ground so that he could look better at the other vampire and frowned. He didn’t saw anything…

The humans are forgetting about us and they aren’t protecting their children anymore! But… apparently this family still had a bracelet like that… The only thing you can do is not returning to that child and to not kill it, you are lucky that you are still alive! A person can be transformed into a Bajang after death, if they committed evil deeds in their life. A person may also inherit the destiny of becoming a Bajang if the person’s ancestors committed evil deeds that they may have passed on.
Bajang vampires can also be created by a living person, and used to kill or torment others. The living person can summon the soul of a stillborn child that was freshly buried or caught just before being buried. If the spirit is successfully summoned, the living person can control its attacks and torments on others.
The Bajang normally threatens children. It will show up at a house, looking cute and cuddly, warning the family of the upcoming attack. They will feed on children most often, but make others their victims, as well.
Like most vampire creatures, the Bajang can also spread madness and disease among humans.

It was in the middle of the night and JaeJoong walked through the house from a few humans he just had killed. He still walked through the house when he suddenly heard something, he heard how somebody was following him! Turning around he hissed dangerous, he still used the body from his polecat and he knew that he could attack the person who was following him easy if he wanted to but then… then he realized that he wasn’t followed by a normal human but by… Another Bajang vampire! His first reaction was to attack because this was HIS pray and HE was going to suck every human inside this house dry and he was NOT allowing it that a stupid, random Bajang vampire was going to steal HIS food! He had worked really hard to kill everybody and it was just rude from the other vampire to enter this house while he still was busy here! But just when he wanted to attack he… Stopped! The other vampire seemed to be lost and confused and he knew why… The vampire had just awakened as a Bajang vampire and this was his first time to walk with his polecat body! This vampire wasn’t trying to steal his food or wanted to be rude, he simply didn’t knew where he was and he followed him because they were the same and maybe because he hoped that JaeJoong could help him! Staring at the other Bajang vampire he tried to hide his surprise, he knew that a living human could be born as a Bajang vampire and that he or she would transform eventually, but he never had seen one in his life! He himself had been created because he had done a few really bad things during his life and because of that he had returned like this after he had died! And… Most of the Bajang vampires nowadays have been created like that!
So, seeing a Bajang vampire who was born to be like this was… exceptional! He himself had knew what was happening because the moment he died he realized that his soul wasn’t going up or down, he had felt how his soul stayed with his dead body and he had watched, as a dammed spirit how his body had started to change, so he had been ready for his new life when he had awakened as a vampire, but this Bajang vampire before him was totally clueless because he didn’t had done anything wrong in his life to be punished like this, but he was punished, he was paying for what his ancestors have done, somebody in his family who had died a long ago must have done something really bad and he must have passed HIS fate to this unsuspected and innocent boy! It was a mean thing to do, but it could happen… Somebody needed to explain to him what had happened because if nobody was doing it, then he would die or be captured by a human! Some humans knew how they could capture a Bajang vampire and IF the vampire was captured, he would be a slave! He had heard a few stories about a Bajang vampire who was serving a human but the vampire had freed himself when the master didn’t had given him enough eggs to eat, he had attacked the human and killed his own master! But, being a slave is one of the worst things what could happen to one of them and he felt strangely responsible for this new vampire! He didn’t knew this boy and normally he always lived alone and didn’t wanted to have company but now… Maybe he could do something for this boy and even make him his own! If this boy wanted to follow him then he could stay, but only when he was doing what HE wanted the boy to do!
So, slowly he walked toward the other Bajang vampire and stopped right in front of him, showing him that he wasn’t going to attack. And when he saw that the other vampire also didn’t seemed to be a danger to him he turned into his human body, the body he had used when he still had been alive. The first reaction from the other Bajang vampire was to back away from him and to stare with his eyes wide open at him! “I’m Kim JaeJoong and I’m just like you, a Bajang vampire, so don’t be afraid and transform back to you human body so that we can talk, and you will know instinctively how you need to do it, just concentrate and change!” While he spoke he folded his arms and stared at the other vampire, he didn’t sounded friendly but he also wasn’t mean to the boy, he just wanted to make clear that he was in control of the situation and that this boy needed to follow HIM if he wanted to have his help! “You are a vampire because of what somebody in your family has done and you need to pay the price now! So if you want to survive in this world than you better will be doing what I’m going to tell you!”

He was a ruler and if somebody didn’t liked it to follow him in his old life or in this life then they needed to die or to leave! There was just no other option! “I- I’m Jung YunHo…” YunHo hesitated but spoke again after a few seconds, “is it true? Am I a vampire? But… Why am I able to… change in a animal?” The boy sounded scared and he looked around him at everything what JaeJoong had done in this house, blood was everywhere! So IF he was trying to distract himself then he had failed by looking around him! He had slowly killed the parents in the living room and he knew that this other Bajang vampire, Jung YunHo, could smell what he had done here! “Yes, you are a vampire and yes, it is true! You are a Bajang vampire and you need to drink blood to survive! And it’s normal for you to change into a polecat, every Bajang vampire can do it…” JaeJoong stared at the boy and saw that he still looked scared at him but he still asked some more questions… “ What do you know about what had happened with you? Have you killed somebody?” He knew that he sounded rude now, but he needed to know it because IF this boy had accidently killed somebody then he needed to know when and where because people will start to search for him!
The police already might be called by now! And indeed! He saw the sad and pained look in the eyes from the boy, he had done something and he felt bad about it! “I have killed my little sister… She is my adopted sister and… One moment I was playing with her and the next moment I… attacked her! My parents were also home and when they tried to stop me I did something to them, I don’t know what but they became very sick! From one moment to another they were too sick to walk or to move! You know that it’s stupid to leave her like that! You already have killed her so why not drinking her blood? Now you have killed her for nothing and now you need to do it again by somebody else! I just can’t hide you when you are hungry, you will not only be a danger to yourself but also to me! So don’t act like a cry baby and do what you need to do, drink the blood from this kid and don’t listen to you already fading human feelings! But that was going to change, he knew that. When YunHo was living longer like this he would lose his innocence, it happened with every vampire and nobody was going to escape from their fate! “Now, YunHo, have you made your decision? Are you going with me and will you obey me while I teach you how to live like a true vampire? Or do you want to leave me with the change to be killed or captured by a human who will make you his or her slave?”
He stared at the boy and observed him curious, he didn’t remembered much about the time when he had been young, it was too long ago but he knew that it must be difficult for somebody from YunHo’s age to leave everything behind and to… Start over and to begin with a new life, and that with a stranger! But it was the only thing he could offer the boy and… The boy needed to know how lucky he was THAT JaeJoong wanted to do this! Normally he wasn’t so kind to help somebody else! “Will I be you slave?” Asked the boy nervous while he met JaeJoong’s gaze. “No” spoke JaeJoong simple. “You will not be my slave and you can leave when you want, but WHEN you are with me, then you need to accept it that I’m the leader and then you need to listen to me” he stared hard at the boy but after a few minutes of silence he spoke again. “I look mean to you and I act gold, but if you have proved yourself to me and when you have showed me that you are worth it to be in my presence than I will accept you.” This time he spoke calm to the boy and wondered if he would accept his offer. Secretly he hoped it because, well… Now that he was helping this boy he realized that he really had been bored and that he needed some distraction! And this boy… was exactly what he needed! “Yes… I will follow you” whispered YunHo while he looked down at the ground, looking unsure and scared. Scared because of the unknown and scared because he just had learned that he wasn’t a normal human anymore but… a vampire! A murderer and a monster!
Slowly and looking calm JaeJoong stretched his hand out to the boy and pulled him to his feet. “Follow me YunHo, we need to leave the house before somebody will discover the bodies and will call for the police.” And while he spoke he started to walk away from the dead body behind him. “I want you to transform back to you polecat body so that we can leave the house without being noticed.” He didn’t looked at YunHo to see if he obeyed him and he transformed into his own polecat body, a raven black polecat with a pair of really intelligent eyes! He left the house and when he stepped over the threshold, into the fresh air he noted that YunHo had followed him, the brown colored polecat stood behind him, ready to do what he wanted!

“I… I don’t know what happened! I tried to kill a little kid but when I tried to harm him I… I felt pain! I never have felt a pain like that! I just wasn’t able to touch the child! The humans are forgetting about us and they aren’t protecting their children anymore! But… apparently this family still had a bracelet like that… The only thing you can do is not returning to that child and to not kill it, you are lucky that you are still alive! You need to rest and if you are lucky then you will be fine tomorrow” JaeJoong still frowned because this could be a problem and… He needed to warn the other vampires somehow!
