I am an alumnus.
So I graduated from California Baptist University on Saturday, magna cum laude with a GPA of 3.85 and a degree in English, concentration in Creative Writing, and a minor in Global Studies. A month from tomorrow I am getting married, and in between now and then I turn 22. I am starting to feel officially like an adult. I think it will really hit me when I have an 8-5 job and big bills to pay, like rent. *shudder* I'm admittedly still a LITTLE intimidated by adult realities, I will willingly admit to that.
Overwhelmingly, though, I am super excited and feel like I have a lot to anticipate in the next month or so. It really does feel like the beginning of a new life. Like I'm shedding a new skin, or even more accurately, emerging from a chrysalis as a whole new creature. New name and everything! It's an amazing thing.
My dad came out for graduation, which was a huge blessing. I have a LOT of pictures to post, so as soon as I get my act together, be expecting a nice long photoblog. I hope that will be in a few days.
