a conference paper, that is.

I don't know. I got into a conference with a paper I genuinely like. Except I sort of don't want to do it now. It's not that I don't like the paper, but it's the chapter I'm embroiled in revising and at the moment, and the prospect of giving some sort of talk feels overwhelming. Also, at the moment it's more than I feel like I want to take on.

On the other hand, I may very well be totally fine with it by the time comes. The chapter issues may be resolved, the prospect might seem less intimidating, I may just simply be in a better mood, who knows. Also, I feel jerky turning down a conference paper acceptance.

But the timing is really terrible, and I'm going to put off dealing with it as long as they'll let me.
