Costumeseses!
Since Dragon*Con is the ONLY con I'm going to this year, I'm going to have superfun with costumes. I'm bringing THREE. Yep, I'm going to be one of THOSE people.
Of course the big one is my Aes Sedai costume from last year. It's pretty much unchanged, but I want to trim up the petticoat so I don't have to pin it to my bra to keep it from showing out the bottom of the skirt. I have a few new accessories, but generally I was pretty pleased with the costume last year.
Next up is my Kaylee (Firefly) costume, which got enough compliments last year to really make me squee. My mom is decorating a parasol for me, the only piece I was missing last year. And Jewel Staite is a guest this year, so I want to get my picture with the real Kaylee!
And finally, I'm going to bring my Belldandy (Ah My Goddess) costume that hasn't seen the light of day in years. The wig was what was stopping me, but the hairclip extension I used with the Aes Sedai costume worked so well that I'm going to get one for Belldandy too. Her hair has been done in enough shades of blond and brown that mine will work.
I'm starting to get really excited for the con! Only a month to go. Eeeeee!
