Children starving, yet people dying
of being overweight and overeating?
If you could only see, the hunger in their eyes,
Which look to the skies, hoping none of them dies
Beneath the government’s eyes, turning a blind eye.
Is this your Will? Or are they victims of our bill?
And so God I pray that we have the heart to pray,
The think about those in need beyond the end of the day,
That at night, we don’t keep these truths away at bay,
Because if we do, God, these problems won’t just fade.
The time to act is now, prayer preludes production
Of actions that will show God’s affection.
So let nothing impede the actions we need
To end this disease, and from sin be free.
