I need to vent!

So today I had lunch with Paul! It was so good to see him again!! He was in France for the last year...rough life, I know. Anyway, so we had lunch and went and saw a couple teachers at Clackamas. We saw Mr. Anderson, which was nice. He was always a favorite of mine. Then Paul wanted to see Turnquist, which led to us visiting PB. Aside from being a ( Read more... )

Good entry.

People in this town seriously are fake and flashy. It pains me seeing these latest generations, as they seem like spoiled brats. I could understand your wanting to get away from Clackamas.

Fucking seconded. We had such an awesome core group of people and I know we're all going to be really successful.

Leaving Clackamas was a great idea for me. Now I live in Tacoma the entire year and rarely come back. Since my parents are moving to Astoria, the last time I'll be in Clackamas might be around mid-August before I leave for Germany.

Now that I have lived in a bigger, more "liberal" city, I realized how suburban and fake the place where we lived was. It's so ridiculous. People are just so much more down to earth here.

It is fake! I think that's what's frustrating the most. The more I work in schools that are poor, or where it's predominately hispanic or african american, the more I love it. There's more out there than Sunnyside :)

Why would anyone want to live in a community where every house looks the same, and where horse fields and beautiful landscapes have been overtaken by giant mini-mansions?

It's sickening. If I was mayor I would halt all development immediately and make a plan to sustainably develop Happy Valley.

Because no one gets shot or mugged or raped (except joggers) there, we have good books and teachers and new school buildings, and the community is friendly and safe for children.

Don't get me wrong, there are a bunch of dumbass, stuck-up, fake, idiotic bitches (both male and female) that come from Clackamas... but we all came from there too, so it can't be all bad :P. We are so fortunate to have grown up there, and so lucky to have parents that worked hard enough and cared enough about us to move to Clackamas or Happy Valley in the first place. I'm not so sure I approve of all this suberbia bashing :P.

No one gets shot or mugged or raped in the part of Tacoma where I live, either. The community is also friendly and safe for children ( ... )

Thanks David...I'm glad I'm not alone! I couln't agree with you more! Oh, and Paul said he saw you and Victor, but I don't know if it was just on the road in passing. We should all get together for lunch or something, in between everyone's busy schedules :)
