For my Ed Foundations class, I have to volunteer at a place where people are underprivileged in the United States. I'm at Lot Whitcomb helping with their after school program. I wanted to get away from North Portland for it this time. Anyway, so I started yesterday, and am having the best time ( Read more... )

i def would not want to relive High School again, i think the things kids go through know are so dramaticlly different than when i was in HS. But the one thing that i did enjoy about CHS was that more than half of the class i grew up with since Elementary or Middle school so the whole clique thing was around but everyone knew each other, but people change its common...one who was cool in MS might of when there life changing events that caused them to disconnect themselves in HS and become uncool. if you really think about it.everyone is in control of there own destiny and how others look at them. I went through HS with the last name that was known by all..by the Principal by each and every one of the teachers. If i was a sophmore the juniors and seniors new me by one of my cousins or there bro or sis had my cousins or bro sis in there class. haha so to me HS was just a way to get through it, and just smile say hi.. and go on. Esp Senior year, i spent less time at school than anything. It was great. and i agree about the whole contact ( ... )

High school was awesome and I would do it again, with two changes: play a lot more handball and get more involved with politics.

You get to work with good looking males, but they are in elementary school?

hahaha, nope. The good looking males I'm talking about are the ones who run the after school program :)

And that's great that this is what you would have done differently in high school, but what would you have changed about how you were socially? Would you have tried to reach out and talk to people you normally wouldn't have?

Nope. I pretty much talked to anyone I thought was worthy. I should have talked to angela chou more about dartmouth.

sadly I regret not being in more AP classes, and taking a few classes more seriously, which would have put me way ahead in school

Same with you alex...what would you have done different socially, more so than academically?

There are some things in academics and extracurriculars that I would change, but in terms of socially, I do wish I got to know people (like you guys!) earlier, but it seems even when I tried, people were not open and receptive. People in high school tend to be very judgmental, so it's hard if only one side is trying.
