I strongly dislike this part of school, since I have so much shit going on. It's hard to keep track of it all. I really can't wait till May

Hi there. My name is Elizabeth, I found your journal through UPortland's LJ group. I will be attending in the fall and I was curious if you'd like to be lj friends? :)
oh wow, Boston! I want to go there for grad school after UP! Going into school I was a secondary Ed major, which I declared in the summer, but am in the process of switching to a History major with an Ed minor. So what was the deciding factor for picking UP? It always fascinates me that people come here. I mean, there are so many from Hawaii, California, Washington and Alaska. It's awesome! Are you excited to live over here?
Really? What school are you looking at over here? It really is a lovely place to live, but you might want to visit here first, the life style on the east coast is so different from over there. At least that is one of the major things I noticed when I visited Seattle and Portland.
&I am very very excited, but veryyy nervous. I'm on the shy side so I'm panicing thinking that everyone will already know people and I'll be the loner with the funny accent. But as for people traveling there, it's almost like Portland is a hidden little secret tucked away in Oregon. It is beautiful there.
I think I'm looking more toward BU as of now. I hear their Education program is great! Yeah, I have tons of family on the East Coast, so I know how different it is from here. It's still awesome though. I love that there's so much history over there.
And don't be nervous! If it makes you feel any better, I didn't know anyone coming in to UP. I was one of 2 or 3 from my high school, but didn't know the others. It's really nice in the long run though. You meet so many new people, and don't have memories of high school popping up randomly. Portland is a wonderful city. I think you made a fantastic choice!
My brother went to BU a few years ago and he loved it, so I'm sure you would like it as well. You're lucky you have family all over the place, that must come in handy haha :)
That is very comforting to hear though. I really can't wait to get out there. I didn't want to leave when I visited.
